Easily one of the WORST breakfasts we have EVER had anywhere in the country. The omelette was runny and uncooked. The waffles were dry like a piece of wood, the server didnt give us anything else to go with the waffles (usually, one gets an offer of syrup or fruit to go with it).The vegetables in the omelette were sparse, the cheese was barely there, coffee was disgusting (Folgers, BTW), the tables were dirty and filthy and the server seemed like she didnt want to be there. We had to clean our own table when we sat down, with a napkin as it had crumbs, spilled coffee and cream on the table from the previous person who had sat there before us. She didn't even offer to clean it. And there were many tables that were vacant (all still dirty), and this was the cleanest. After we had eaten, we had to wait quite a while before she decided to come and take the money. She saw us multiple times waiting, but still kept going around pouring coffee in other guests' cups. I have never had such a terrible experience, and I usually prefer to not leave any reviews when something is bad, but this actually trumped every other breakfast that I have ever been to in being the worst. Denny's is much better, and that is saying a lot. For a so-called breakfast place in a tourist mountain town, I am really surprised with the quality of this place. It may be because they are severely short-staffed, but then they need to set the expectations beforehand. The cooks or whatever they were in the kitchen seemed swamped. I will never eat there again unless I am dying. Message to the owners, please please do something about this place and either hire someone decent who actually cares about the place, or reduce your hours so that you do not get crazy amounts of people who do not even get served properly, especially if they are not from Red Lodge...
Read moreOK Breakfast but bad Politics.... We went to this breakfast place as it had good reviews.. Walking in we instantly knew it was a hometown classic restaurant. After sitting down we instantly noted all of the Pro Trump propaganda all over the restaurant as well as the owner spewing propaganda on how the 2020 presidential election was stolen.. This left me uneasy. Breakfast arrived and the food was OK. We ate quickly as the owner argues with locals on his ranting.. As we left a local was stating this was his last visit and barked at the owner that the election was not stolen and he was a traitor for spewing such dishonest remarks as the owner barked back the same lies. If you can stomach a dilutional rantings of a business owner with your breakfast, go visit for a meal. A bit of advice, if you run a business don't mix...
Read moreFinally made it to Prindy's Place. Got there a half hour before they close. Pancakes with syrup and a healthy offering of butter, eggs over easy, bacon and hash browns. I like REALLY crispy hash browns and these weren't bad, but I should have asked for extra crispy...my fault. Eggs were perfect. Once the wife saw another customer's biscuits and gravy, she said she should have ordered that, but she was happy wither her eggs, toast, and hash browns. If I make it back this summer, I'll order a bacon cheeseburger with an over easy egg on it. That is one of my favorite sandwiches. I laughed a bit when the cook whistled for the waitress to pick up orders. Sounded like a phone app bird chirp. Waitress was nice and the restaurant has an old time diner feel. Lots of old b&w photos of the area...
