My visit to Red Lodge unfortunately was at its end, and plans to hit the road bright and early required a hearty on-the-go breakfast. I was looking for someplace that I had not tried before and, thanks to the wonders of the internet, stumbled across the Hidden Basin Coffee Post. Truly a not-so-well-hidden treasure! Smooth and not bitter…just right for that extra wake up before embarking on the next leg of a journey. The staff (owners?) were helpful and friendly, with a dose of good humor thrown in. Should I find myself in Red Lodge again, Hidden Basin is now my go-to breakfast destination. Maybe the next time, I’ll chill, hang out, and try that...
