Giliberto’s — Restaurant in Red Wing

Went to get the strawberries an cream drink an a fried cheese cake. The time was around 730 an no one in the drive thru in front of us or behind. Sat in the drive thru for over 10 mins before I had to say hello to someone that was chopping onions an ignoring the drive thru, granted he mite not have been running the drive thru himself. Got the guys attention an he went to the front an another guy came sprinting out with my drinks an fried chees cake. Paid an pulled away. Got to where I was going an tried to eat the fried cheese cake an I couldn't, it was frozen. Never put in the fryer cause there was no grease in my container after frying something, there should be grease in the container somewhere but was completely dry. I opened up the middle an the cheese cake was frozen. Completely frozen an not at all fried or warm to the touch. So the guy working drive thru just went to the freezer an put it in a container an decorated the fried cheese cake. First time there an last time. Bad service an bad food. The strawberries an cream drink had so many strawberries in it that we couldn't drink it and half full of strawberries. Very unimpressed an dissatisfied. What I ordered was awful. If I could give you a zero I definitely would. You guys don't deserve even 1 star for bad...

Ok, I love good Mexican food. I stopped in and tried the tacos at Giliberto's. The menu is huge! I was really surprised at the quality and moreover the authenticity of the food. I wanted to try something simple and take it home. I asked about soft shell tacos and the lovely lady at the counter said that they were corn tacos, but not hard shell. I knew exactly what she meant and I knew I was in a great place! It's not fancy, but it's clean, you can dine in, take out, or have it delivered. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is of being in Mexico. The tacos reminded me of the outstanding street tacos I've had when traveling in Mexico. It was delicious, flavorful and cooked with love. It's open 24/7 and that's rare for Red Wing to have a place open all the time! Prices are very reasonable for such authentic taste and quality! I'm excited to go back and try more...

Ok, burrito people, I have a burrito you CANNOT live your life without. (For those of you who are "meh" about burritos, then let this restaurant be the catalyst that gets you addicted to good Burritos.

Chad and I finished a motorcycle day trip down the MN border, hit some off-road trails, and were coming through Red Wing when we needed to put on our rain jackets for the night ride.

We pulled over in the parking lot of the holy grail of Burritos. They are amazing. We were obviously hungry, but that's beside the point.
