Aliveo Military Museum — Attraction in Red Wing

Wonderful place to visit. Though it's small, it has a lot of historical artifacts from all the wars that shaped our history. Many local hero's that served our country, are highlighted which really brings things home. This is a definite worthwhile place to visit while in Red Wing. It's easy to spend time learning, thinking, remembering and reliving all those who have served. The museum itself has its own history; nonprofit, family owned and operated. Four starts for surprising little historical find in Red Wing! Hubby and I like military history and this was a fun stop. Manager was interesting and knowledgeable. So many items to look at. Keep shops like this open, by stopping in, and volunteering. Now days military history gets lost in fictional writing! As a former homeschooling parent, this would have been great to bring my kids too. ...

Checked out the museum today, lots of very interesting historical stuff from all the wars. Lots of old guns and knives, newspaper clippings, models, money and much more. Very interesting guy there telling people the history too. Highly recommend. Free to visit,...
