Living in a rural area, it's a rare treat to find a sushi spot like River Sushi. This little gem stands out as the only sushi place in town, and it's quite good for its location. Their maki rolls are enjoyable, reminding me a bit of buffet rolls you'd find in the city. While the nigiri sushi options didn't particularly stand out, the specialty rolls, priced around $9, were a good value. It's great to have a place nearby that allows locals to enjoy sushi without traveling to the city. The atmosphere leans more towards a takeout vibe, but there is seating available. We opted for takeout, and it was a pleasant experience overall. If you're in the area and craving sushi, River Sushi is definitely worth a visit.

If your going here come for what the Name is telling you to. Sushi. Pass on the typical American Chinese dishes, you'll be doing yourself a disservice. I can't really tell the flavor difference between the General Tso and the sesame other than the sesame seeds. And the Orange chicken just has orange peels in it. The sushi is what shines here. Standard sides of Real wasabi none of that horse radish stuff, Pickeled ginger and soy sauce. Where you go down the sushi trail from here is all good for a small town. Today was the Spicy Combo. A flavorful sushi delight. Had to go back the next day and try some more. Tried the Daily Lover D.

River Sushi is delicious! I tried it for the first time then found myself coming straight back the next week. I enjoyed the Denver Roll, honey chicken, and chicken lo mein. If you don't like sushi (like my fiancé) there's still plenty of options to fill you up for lunch or dinner. From what I've seen its just a husband, wife, and their child (I'm just guessing their relationships) working tirelessly in the back to fill orders. That's the kind of hard working family business that I'm more than happy to support. I highly recommend you give them a try!

Summary: The soups are reaaaally good! But I'm not a fan of the sushi

Uh, so...If you're REALLY craving sushi—just gotta have it, like me earlier today—go for it. But prepare for disappointment. Because the sushi...is just...I don't know how to describe it. It's sushi but it's not. And I don't like it that much. Like, it's Red Wing sushi. Not "real" sushi. Which shouldn't surprise you either (like duh, it's Red Wing), but then you taste it and it's...not sushi. I also thought it'd be impossible to mess up sashimi, because it's simple and plain. I got it and was still a teeny bit disappointed. Waaay too much lemon juice tainting the delicate flavour.

The shrimp udon was good, though. And I love getting Miso soup here! I recommend their soup,...

Been here two times. First time was probably 2 years ago. My wife and I remember thinking it was pretty decent. The second time was yesterday. I am a Sushi connoisseur as of late - I have fell in love the past 2 years... Because of that, my rating has went way down on this place. The tuna was Ok. The salmon (my favorite typically) was absolutely horrid. My wife got the sweet avocado roll, which was great, but it had no fish in it. Either I have gotten picky and spoiled by excellent Sushi venues in Rochester and the Cities that I attend very frequently, or this place is pretty bad. Low quality Sushi. The prices should be lower for this low quality. Two stars because the first experience wasn't bad. One star if this was my first...
