Waited a good amount of time, on the inside, for a "Butter Burger, with Cheese",Burger and a small helping if FRIES. The joint was not Hoppin' either, "Pardon my Language!" The cashier was sorta awkward; with this being said with the kindest intentions and a due respect for the particular line of work involved, but I waited a good 8-10 min for my ord3r (to go) and every attempt at the cashier to get a literary response was downed by a .... Nothing .
The food arrived and I continued my journey on towards Northfield after spending too long there (Culvers) already. 10 miles later I am beginning to turn on MN-19, out of Red Wing; haven't eaten all day. This was my treat for working so late. I purchased a "Butter Burger w/Cheese ( which is actually a doubleburger) instaead of the "ButterBurger w/Cheese SINGLE" of which I normally do with a small fry for uner 5$... But "this time I was going All IN".. I thought.
Ten-Fifteen min later, a long way down the road... Through traffic..., I was eating some fries when I opened the wrapper over the burger. I take a bite and BOOM!!... there's big ol THICK slices of purple and White Onions!! Piles high on this gol dang expensive , water of my time of a burger! Be it my only assuming "meal" of my day!
That's. What I get. For "splurging"...my wife...
Read moreI used the drive thru waited in line 20 min with 2 cars in front of me, and ordered 1 scoop hot fudge sundae and asked for the senior special….I didn’t catch the total after some major language issues. Now I know why I waited. When I got to the window I was asked if my name was Rick I said no my name is Deb. He asked me for 7.18. I said that seems like too much. He just handed me a bottle of water which I gave back and I said that is not mine. He kept saying 7.18 and the cars behind me are waiting….I ask to talk to someone else. There was an employee standing right behind him laughing at him and not helping. I gave him the 7.18 and pulled forward and noticed the receipt was for a different order, as I was going to get out 2 other people that were in front of me had orders and were going inside. I asked the employee that had just brought the orders out to just go inside and give my money back and handed him the receipt. A gal came out handed me my money. I said to her…if you are going to hire people who do not speak English then stand beside them and teach them what to do when there is an issue…it was utter chaos…….I frequent this establishment but always in the morning. I will never go back in...
Read moreFood was as expected for a Culvers chain location, not bad but not gourmet either. It's as good as any Culvers should be expected of.
The day and time I ate there (1230 on a Tuesday), they seemed to have an abundance of unnecessary workers for the food demand, like 6 front-end employees for a non-existent in-store counter demand. My order was a 3-piece cod dinner, and I needed to ask one of the counter-person for another tarter sauce and some lemon to squirt on the fish, and the employee I asked seemed extremely confused when I asked for the lemon. It may have been her first day, since she needed that explained to her from more experienced kitchen staff to fulfill my request.
For the fast-food dollar, Culvers (and this location) isn't a bad value. You get a meal that fills you up (depending on what you order), and generally tastes the same as any other Culvers. This location isn't bad in the context of fast food, but they aren't dominating the...
