The food is always good and tastes nice. The cookies and cakes are also pretty tasty. I do wish they had a just a bit more variety for food options though. I usually end up buying the same thing when I come here, but it’s always good of course. Just get a little boring after a while. Overall the staff are friendly and the food is made quickly most days so that’s a plus. I like the chi bowl with chicken, and they also offer vegetarian options for that so if you don’t eat meat then you still can enjoy some nice food. One of the best parts about this restaurant is that you can actually get a pretty healthy meal here for a good price. Would recommend.

Came here for breakfast while passing through town. First thing…the pie crust is AMAZING!! Flakey, light, flavorful, absolutely delicious. I just ate my lemon pie that I took to go, so the deliciousness is still fresh in my mouth. One of or kids got the blueberry waffle, and truly did not want to share any because it was so good. I got the chilaquiles and the portion was huge! It was super good with great flavors and between me, my husband and one of my kiddos, it all pretty much got eaten. Oh and the service was super friendly and awesome. Great vibe and energy runs through this place :)

Redding, CA. Ohhhhh the chicken pot pie soup was sooooo good! The super buttery flaky pie crust on top was killer and the chicken concoction in the bowl was savory, peppery and hot. We also got the Southwest salad which was equally delicious with great texture from the tortilla strips, chicken, roasted corn and homemade ranch dressing. Note to self: The chicken pot pie soup is a filling meal, even the smaller size. I still managed to eat the salad too but was so happily stuffed at the end. Too stuffed for dessert. Which was sad because their 100-layer cronuts looked amazing.

Food is hit or miss. Atmosphere decent for the area and mostly clean. Have gotten quite a few to go orders which were incorrect at Churn Creek & Cypress Store. It seems different locations have different rules. Had a loyalty card filled up for free baked goods&bread and wasn’t able to get day old baked goods which were same price or less than a baked loaf of bread or fresh baked good, because they said more than 1 item was not allowed the box (which likely would be thrown out being it was a day old anyway-Churn Creek & Cypress Location ). I’d also previously been able to get day old bake good(s) they group together in a box with a full loyalty card with stamps. Last time I was at the location (Cheryl Creek & Cypress) the cashier took my order correctly but barista got it wrong when making & when I politely asked if I could have what I ordered/paid for was given an attitude & barista was rude to the cashier like it was her mistake which I thought was unprofessional. Store doesn’t seem environmentally friendly, as they’re willing to waste/throw out food fairly often for errors & miscommunication. Hartnell location although not much seating always seems the friendliest of the locations/staff I’ve been to of the locations & hasn’t made any errors toward me or friends purchases & doesn’t seem...

Hearth Cafe was a disappointment! Menu offered sandwiches, salads, soup. I ordered the TAG...Turkey, bacon & avocado on a croissant. After ordering the sandwich I found out I could have ordered from a breakfast menu that wasn't offered to me. I would have preferred the French toast or waffle. Anyway, back to the TAG. I ordered the avocado on the side. Life hack: If you have avocado put on the side you will actually get all the slices that are supposed to be on the sandwich vs a smear of green stuff. That said, they gave me a fair amount of avocado. However, I was not happy with the sandwich. I had asked for non of their special mustard, but double checked that it would have mayo. I got no mustard...Or Mayo! Totally dry. The $10.79 sandwich had barely any turkey and the whole sandwich had (maybe) 1 slice of bacon torn in four small pieces. The choice of leaf lettuce they were generous with was a bitter variety. The red onion was piled on! No thanks!!! On the positive side, they have great fries, and the staff was friendly. But, was also the same staff that didn't mention the breakfast menu, told me mayo would be on the sandwich, then made me a thin, dry red...

Our family has been loyal costumers to From the Hearth for many years. We have always enjoyed the food and service. Yesterday my daughter and I went to the Churn Creek location for lunch. (Our first time since the pandemic). We were so disappointed!!!! Disappointment #1 - After we ordered we looked at the outdoor seating. Each of the tables were only three feet apart instead of the CDC recommendation of six feet apart. As we looked closer we spotted one table on the corner of the patio that was spaced correctly, but dirty from prior customers. We asked an employee if she could please clean it for us. She proceeded to get a bucket off the bussing table that had some liquid and a rag in it, did a quick wipe of the table, put the rag back in the bucket, plopped the bucket back on the bussing table and walk inside the restaurant. No Clorox wipes or sanitizer spray of any kind on the table let alone the chairs. Disappointment #2 - I had my usual Southwest Chicken salad. The small amount of chicken on the salad was super dry and not seasoned as usual. My daughter’s Yakuza Bowl was so salty she could only take a few bites. This was a costly lunch that went in...
