On our quest for good Thai and Chinese food we decided to try Thai House on Churn Creek Rd. It was a Saturday evening around 6PM. When we pulled into the parking lot we noticed there wasn’t many cars… Oh well, let’s give it a shot. When we entered we were greeted quickly and friendly from an Asian gentleman (said his name was Hank). The restaurant is fairly large and well lit (a bit too much for my liking). There was a large table being seated - looked to 2 or 3 families with some kids. That was about it - the large family and us… There is also a nice sushi bar off to the left as you go into the restaurant. We were seated quickly and drinks taken. The menu is an interesting mix of Thai, Chinese and Sushi. Lots of different choices - we were impressed. We decided to order an appetizer or two- we were starving! Went with the safe bet - crispy rolls. Nicely cooked egg roll kind of thing with a good assortment of veggies inside a rice paper wrapper with both a peanut sauce and sweet and sour sauce. And a side of Edamame. The crispy rolls were delicious and the sauces perfect (peanut was the favorite). The edamame - good, nicely steamed and salted. Encouraged we decided to order a sushi, a Thai dish and a Chinese dish. For sushi we went with the California Crunch Special roll. It was huge! Loaded with crispy shrimp, crab and avocado. The presentation was impressive and the taste was great - highly recommended. (Sorry, no picture, we were too hungry ;-)
On to the main courses. My wife had the Chicken Green Curry with white rice and I went for Cashew Chicken with fried rice. The dishes arrived on a large white plate - each with (another) crispy spring roll, a large mound of the rice and a bowl/plate of an entree.
After digging in, my wife (who knows her curries) said the Green Curry was the best she has had in years. Just spicy and sweet enough with a nice assortment of perfectly cooked vegatables. My Cashew Chicken was very good! Rich, slightly spicy brown sauce with plenty of chicken, vegetables and some cashews. The fried rice was great - perfect accompaniment!
Overall we had a great meal - and were happily stuffed.
By 7:30 the restaurant was filling up! Lots of what I could see were repeat customers!

Read moreRead the review in todays Sunday paper (1/12/24) was excited to try a “new” Thai restaurant. Off we went for dinner. The parking lot was full but as we entered we saw a large party in the back of the restaurant that had been served & 1 other couple. Not busy at all. We looked over the menu & then proceded for 4 different employees to notice us. I finally flagged someone down & he came over to take our order. 2 older women employees were having a private conversation in the middle of the restaurant, oblivious to customers. Bad 1st impression. We got our food in a timely manner, 1st fresh spring rolls that were good except for a “peanut” dipping sauce that had a strange fatty beef taste. Next came a spring fling sushi roll that was soooo salty we couldn’t even eat it. The drunken noodle were also overly salted. Green curry was salty as well. We informed the woman that made the sushi of the salt issue & she offered to make us another roll. We refused. With less than a few bites of our total dinner, we asked for our check & were charged for everything! The sushi should of been comped. We are not picky people. We won’t come back or recommend! Customer service was horrible. Also, the staff was wearing masks & we are so over this! Why?! It’s ridiculous! There are so many other good Thai restaurants in town & we will stick to those! BIG...
Read moreThis is not a Thai restaurant at all. Owned and ran by Chinese. We thought we were going into to an actual Thai restaurant. Most of the menu consists chinese dishes. No one that works there is Thai. I ordered the red curry and was pretty disappointed. It was pretty sweet. I've grown up eating curry and this was not how curry tastes. The pad thai was sour and I called the server lady over. She was very nice about it and kept on trying to get us to change it to something else but I said no thank you. She said we didn't have to pay for it. I didn't eat much of the food but paid for what I ordered and left hungry and disappointed. It might be ok for people who don't know what the actual food is supposed to taste like but for the people who do know. Its very subpar for Thai food. Actually, I wouldn't call it Thai food at all but if your going for Chinese then you might find something you'll like. Its basically a Chinese restaurant. Why lie to people and name it Thai House when there is only half a page worth of things in the menu that are Thai. The lady said that they bought the Thai recipes from a big company. I asked whats the name...
