I was on the phone with my wife when she pulled in the drive through of your KFC franchise in Redding CA. To my unpleasant surprise I heard a rushed and aggresive male voice through her phone telling my wife that it will be another 40 minutes to get the chicken she ordered 30 minutes ago.
My wife politely asked why? when she had already went through the drive through 30 minutes before to order the chicken and was told that her order will be ready in 20-30 minutes. My wife paid for the order and was told to pull forward out of the drive through.
30 minutes later my wife went through the drive through again and that is when I heard this male voice through my wife’s phone in a loud, rushed and aggressive manner telling her that they gave her order away because she didn’t come back in 30 min. To pick up her order.
My wife tried explaining that she did exactly what they told her to do which is to come back in 30 min. But the man keep interrupting every word she is trying to say in an aggressive manner sticking to his narrative of “there is nothing I can do. Either you wait 40 min. Or I can give you a refund”.
Imagine my great frustration being on the other line and hearing this man basically being super rude and aggressive to my wife, not letting her talk. The man literally repeated the same narrative 5x not letting my wife finish her sentence.
Mind you I had my 4 year old and 6 year old in the car with her and both was waiting for their dinner patiently in the car as well as observing the negative behavior of this man.
He said he was the manager and no one was higher than him present at the time. As someone who also works in customer service, although my customers are highly sick, stressed, and strained patients and their family being a registered nurse manager myself I know that supporting the customer through a stressful situation is the first priority and not instigate or escalate the situation to a more negative confrontation.
Your managers attitude and demeanor that night was incredibly rude and demeaning. He wouldn’t even listen to what my wife was saying. He wouldn’t even entertain a word. He berated my wife and was hell bent on getting his point across by raising his voice in an aggressive manner and interrupting my wife mid sentence. I don’t even do that to my wife let alone allow some other person do that to her.
Maybe if he was more accommodating and actively listening then the experience would have been less stressful for my wife and kids. He would have also known that my wife’s car has a continuous dash cam recording with a time stamp showing when my wife first ordered and came back for her order within or at 30 min which was the instruction first given to her.
Absolutely unacceptable for a manager of a business to interact to a customer who has done nothing wrong.

Read moreI enjoyed this KFC tremendously as I work closely in that area and usually would go there for lunch once a week. This now will change. Today 7/14/2023 I ordered at 9:24pm pacific time to be exact. And yes, I am the Asian guy who ordered thru the window. My order was a 10 piece mix meal with 2 large mash potatoes w/gravy, 1 large sweet corn and 5 biscuits and a BKT Lemonade, and one of my kids wanted 12 piece nuggets combo meal w/fries and a biscuit. The whole total including the $.69 donation for KFC Foundation was exact $50. There were a very large dine in ordered by the CA Cal Fire and many others were continuing ordering through the drive thru as normal. Before the bad experience, the window cashier told me it will be maybe a two minutes wait because of the mash potatoes and for me to proceed to park in front of the restaurant, which I kindly did. My wife, kids, and I waited at the front to about 9:45pm and we figured they must have forgot about us; which they clearly did because I went in and spoke to the front cashier with my receipt. Did not cause a scene and continue to wait patiently. With all the orders going in and out including the drive through, I didn’t get my order until 10:10pm and not only that, they are now closed and my order were completely HORRENDOUSLY WRONG. Here is the good part; my order I now receive are, 10 soggy mix chickens, 2 large mash potatoes w/gravy, 1 small corn, 1 large Mac&Cheese, looks like it’s old so we threw it away after, and now 3 small cakes. No fries, no biscuits, 10 piece chicken was all soggy and the chicken nuggets was mostly crumbs with 3 piece chicken tenders in the box. No apology was giving to me as I patiently wait by the counter, and my wife and kids waited in the car. I decided to just take the order with me and figured my kids are now hungry after a long day of swimming because it was 112 degrees during the day. I took a few bites of the mash potatoes. My kids and wife ate few pieces of the chickens and we ended up throwing the rest away figuring it was probably OLD FOOD. I will forever BOYCOTT this KFC location COMPLETELY although it is the only one in town. $50 won’t break me. Will now continue to serve other better food chains and restaurants. Lesson learned not to order anything 30 minutes to an hour before closing. Order in advance if you can because you’ll likely get left overs. Overall, AWFUL SERVICE at this location & IF YOU CAN, PLEASE BOYCOTT this location. Ticket #3610 on receipt, time ordered was 9:24pm, and total was exact $50. Thanks for reading & may you...
