Tantardini's European Bakery-Deli — Restaurant in Redding

I was really looking forward to this and was extremely disappointed. My Sicilian mother in law told me it wasnt good but I decided to try for myself. The pasta alfredo was completely inedible....terrible flavor and texture. My panini was OK but not much flavor at all even with pesto and sun dried tomato. The tiramisu I couldnt taste any marscapone at all....mostly whipped cream. The only reason I am giving a 2 is because the bread was good and I imagine maybe the pastries would be too..Overall very disappointed I dont get how they could have such a hugh rating...maybe the pastries alone..I dont know the people, I am sure they are nice, this is just my honest opinion on the food. I love this local business, and they’ve created a loyal customer out of me. They are always so sweet and friendly, quick service, clean environment, and the food is so delicious! I’m obsessed with the Italian sandwich. The ciabatta bread is so soft and fresh tasting, and the outside has a perfect crunch, and the house topenade is why I love this sandwich so much. There's a very rare thing here. Customer service. I showed up about 30 minutes before closing and needed strudel for my Octoberfest party. They only had 1 left. The owner, Diego, said no problem.
