Disappointing Experience – Should Have Checked Yelp First

I visited Fred’s Red Hot Tacos yesterday with my family, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. My daughter ordered the birria tacos, and the broth lacked any spice or flavor—it was bland and overwhelmed by onion. The customer service was just as bad. Their system was down when we arrived, and once it came back up, the cashier seemed uninterested and unwilling to take our order. I even had to go to another food stall while waiting.

When I finally placed my order, the lack of communication among the staff was very noticeable. I had ordered three plain asada tacos (just meat), but this wasn’t relayed properly. On top of that, when I picked up my order of quesabirria tacos, the staff told me that was everything. Only after I showed my receipt did they realize my three plain tacos were still sitting there. And when I did get them, they were cold and had no seasoning or flavor.

After reading other Yelp reviews, I realized I wasn’t alone—many others have had similar issues with poor service, bland food, and disorganization. I really wish I had checked the reviews before going.

Overall, it was a frustrating and underwhelming experience. I will not be returning and do not recommend this...

Came in around 9:10 and tried to order on the tablets but the internet was not working. We then went to the register to order instead and the person refused us with a really bad attitude and said they couldn’t take our order because they didn’t have a cashier. Honestly, the food was not bad, but the front desk cashier was the worst. I paid 45 dollars for 3 birria quesadilla, chicken fries and a drink. I think that's a bit pricey, so I did not tip someone who rudely took my order. She gave me my drink and slammed it. I waited for 35 minutes for my food until I had to come up and ask for it.
