Located at the widest point in Orange Street Alley, this establishment is a walk-up to order at a window outside with no lobby, where my partner, his family and I came for lunch as recommended by the graduate in May. Hate Burger does have windows facing State Street, but that’s just their kitchen. It’s cool to see how your orders are being made. Their menu is simple, offering both meat and vegetarian burger options. Unfortunately, there are no combos; everything has to be ordered separately. We decided on a vegan spicy burger, a spicy burger, a regular cheeseburger, and a regular hamburger. The vegan burger is a vegetarian burger. These were simple, cooked to perfection, and had the right amount of lettuce, tomato, and onions on a brioche bun. It does take a while for our food to come out, and that is because it is being cooked fresh. There were 11 barstools under a covered retractable awning where one could enjoy their meal. The patties were good size, and the burger itself is pretty filling but a little pricey. The fries with the skins left on them were served crispy, hot, and fresh. The staff was friendly. It was a solid meal, and if you are in the area, give it a try.

I absolutely love this place! Best burgers hands down. There’s more of a home made taste and feel to things here. This is a walk up order at the window restaurant. There is no lobby, it’s located downtown Redlands so you’d have to find a table or bench to sit outside and enjoy your food. (This isn’t hard because they’re a plenty) The fries have the skin left on them and the burgers are loaded with toppings ie; pickles, onion, lettuce, tomato, and sauce. They offer vegan and non vegan burgers and chicken sandwiches. You can also add honey to the burger or sandwich or choose spicy sauce or non spicy sauce. Unfortunately there are no combos everything has to be ordered separately. Drinks include soda, tea, and milk shakes. (Vegan or non vegan). Online ordering is available and highly recommended due to the popularity of this place. (Place order through menufy) If you walk up and order be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes. *side note the window to place your order is located in an “alley” off 5th street.

Came here with a friend for the first time and I got the cheeseburger with an extra patty, a chocolate vegan milkshake and fries with two sauces on the side and let me tell you that s*** was fire! I demolished that burger but let me tell you it took me a cool minute! I mean look at the size of that thang! it was cooked to perfection and had the right amount of lettuce, tomato and onion. The fries were fresh and paired with the sauces was like being heaven on Earth. It is a little pricey but who doesn't spend money on good food, especially if it's once a while. Staff is courteous and super friendly. It does take a while for your food to come out and that is because it is being cooked fresh. Can't complain about that.

You know, I had really high hopes for this place. I had been waiting through all the time of development. They've got their neat mural. Their trying at this whole cool back alley vibe with how you can see the kitchen from the street side and you order the food from the back.

But... this seriously flops. For around $18 with the cheeseburger, Fries, and a drink, You'd honestly expect a lot more. But the fries were undercooked, still raw potato in some spots. Everything was drowning in oil. And unfortunately, the worst part was the burger itself! It was painfully bland. The burger meat itself tasted like the cheap-o stater bros burgers that you get in a box, frozen. And for a 3 dollar fountain drink, their "Raspberry Iced Tea" tasted like just a jug of Lipton Iced Tea. Like straight just plain old Lipton. If I wanted 3 dollars worth of just Lipton, I would have gone to stater brothers.

Honestly this whole meal tasted like it was purchased from Stater brothers. I fact that I could have fed two people at In-n-Out and have gotten a better whole meal is really...
