Went here for the first time last week. It's in a great location right at the beginning of umbrella alley. We went on a hot day. The lady that was at the counter, seemed rushed and unhappy. Thankfully I told her we needed a minute to look over the menu and she left to the back. A young guy replaced her at the front and he seemed happy and was definitely patient.
There are two seating areas. The outdoor area to the left of the counter in the alley or the indoor area to the right of the counter. Both areas are very warm with zero fans. So we ultimately decided to sit in the interior area, as it was 1 degree cooler than the outside area.
Unfortunately the table and chairs are horrible. The metal tables are small and have a huge crossbar underneath so you can't really sit close to the table without bumping your knees. Then the chairs are super narrow metal chairs and are definitely uncomfortable to sit in for any extended periods time. I would say those table and chairs would be best for teens. So in combination of the heat, no fans, uncomfortable table and chairs, we definitely wanted to hurry up and leave.
The food was okay.. not great. We got cheesy Tots, and 3 different sandwiches. There is no kids menu. They have unlimited refills on drinks so that's nice. So overall, probably won't go back...unless they add a couple of fans for warmer weather and update their table and chairs. I did see they have bar seating in the outdoor area so it's probably best to sit there...
Read moreThe outside of this place so cute with umbrellas handing above your head. We walked in and took a look at the menu and decided to order the Buffalo chicken sandwich combo and the jalapeño popper sandwich. The guy that took out order was really chill and took our number so we would be notified when the food was ready. I also got a Dr Pepper. Which was way to sweet and not very carbonated..
The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich had chips in it and was pretty good but I paid $9.50 for half my sandwich to not have chicken on it.. and the sauce was only on half the sandwich also which was upsetting. Also the cheese was good but didn’t have enough in some bites and a lot in other bites. It was a very badly proportioned sandwich. The Jalapeño Popper Sandwich good the ingredients were hard to mess up. It had a nice little kick to it and had good flavor. The bread on both sandwiches was toasted perfectly also so I’ll give them that. The fries weren’t served right away, they weren’t fresh out the fryer and were kind of warm but still had a crisp to them.. so obviously they were ready before the sandwiches .. they were okay fries honestly. But we got a side of ranch with them and it was a nice thick and flavorful rich ranch! Overall good place but they need a little more attention to...
Read moreLet me just say how excited I was to eat here after looking at the menu. I love, love, love all things grilled cheese. That being said, my experience was subpar at best. I ordered take-out via phone and waited 9 minutes after being put on hold, to order. 9 minutes doesn't sound like a long time but it is when your're on hold. I chose the BBQ mac, sauce on the side. As you can see from the photo comparison attached (my sandwich and the example from their website) my sandwich first of all lacked any creamy abundance of mac and cheese, second the bread was soggy (and my bbq sauce was on the side) I actually counted how many pieces of macaroni there was which was 8. 8 pieces of macaroni with no cheese on them. The rest of my order was fine which was tater tots and a donut. But how can you mess up a donut with cheese melted on it. I spent $32 total for my order and was super excited to get home and enjoy my discovery of cheese covered food. Even though it was take out I left a 15% tip because I'm a nice person and the staff deserves it especially right now. Got home and ended up throwing most of the sandwich away after picking out some of the shredded beef to eat. Cheesewalla I welcome the chance for you to...
