Our family has been coming here and ordering food “to go” often since the day they opened. We have always been very pleased with their lunch and dinner food and service. My former review was 5 stars, and I recommend Bettolino’s to many people.

However…. I am changing my review here to one star…

Today we attended for a family brunch. I am gluten free, due to an allergy, but figured this would be a good place for brunch as I know they offer “gluten free pasta nights”. I was sure there would be great brunch options for me. Unfortunately, I sat with no meal today as my family ate. There were no brunch menu options that worked for my allergy. The waitress (who seemed very uninformed about gluten free as a whole) suggested salad. Anyone who is gluten free knows this is such an annoying suggestion. No one wants to eat salad at 11am. Nor pasta, which was the other suggestion she had. I came for brunch. Brunch food would have been nice.

There was not much effort to accommodate my dietary needs. The service was awful. Instead of allowing me to sit there with no food, someone could have asked the chef for GF modifications/options OR suggested a poached egg with potatoes…. ANYTHING. I am shocked there was not more of an accommodation from a restaurant that publicizes their “gluten free pasta nights”. (Something I order often which is why I didn’t want it for BRUNCH)

Customer service and some effort would have gone a long way. I was so excited for this family brunch and was looking forward to eating a good meal. The way it was handled today was awful. We have supported this restaurant consistently since their opening and it was so disappointing that there was no offer to make things a little better.

The fact I had to just sit there hungry with no food made us all so disappointed. What was worse was the lack of service. After years of support, we will not be returning to...

We dined here on 07/30/2024 @5pm. Sean Liguore should be ashamed of his establishment. I was recommended to try this restaurant by my aunt that host her work meetings here. I was excited to dine here… from the moment we were sat squished with a party of 6 in a booth that I booked on open table. My mom politely asked Sandy if we could be sat on a table and was rudely declined informing us that is for reservations. Well excuse me, I am a reservation that booked on open table. After going back and forth she finally relocated us to a table. Dana was our server and she is exceptional, we wanted to make sure she was tipped well. Dana was the only person that truly was a sweetheart. The hostess with long blond hair that had it pulled back in a ponytail was extremely rude, we were kind to her thanking her for bringing the bread but no reply just a rude look… and there was a tall man serving bread that was extremely rude as well, slamming the bread down. The scallop entree that two of us ordered had ammonia taste. I didn’t eat mine, but my mom warned me. We informed Dana and she also said it wasn’t even cooked properly. So is the restaurant intentionally trying to poison us with bad scallops. We had the manager come by that my husband alerted with the whole interactions and bad food.. the manager said he would take care or it, but did nothing on the bill, he discounted scallops that we didn’t eat. My husband argued with him and he eventually took around $50 . I’ve never had a dining experience like this in my life. I would not ever dine here and will inform others to stay away. If you upset Sandy she will be sure that the whole staff not only are rude to you, but also provide food that will send you to...

The food was great, and so was the service. We made a reservation and was a little early, but we were seated no problem with no wait. We started out with the complimentary bread, which was warm and delightful. The oil and vinegar to compliment it was so flavorful. We ordered a couple of drinks, the iced dirty chai and Brooklyn via Manhattan. The chai looked weird when I got it, as if it were going to be watery, but it was REALLY good. The chai was very potent but very good, and it wasn’t too strong (I’m not a coffee drinker). My husband had the Brooklyn drink and loved it. We ordered the arancini cacio Pepe for our appetizer, which was really good. For the entrees we got the lobster bucatini and halibut. Get the halibut, it’s FANTASTIC!!!! So flavorful and cooked perfectly, the perfect entree. The bucatini was fine, but a little too lemony for me. My husband enjoyed it, but it was just fine to me. Needed a little salt, pepper and cheese. For dessert we got the cheesecake and the semifreddo. You can’t go wrong with both. My husband really liked the cheesecake and I really liked the semifreddo, so moral of the story, get dessert!!! I highly recommend this place, it was really good. Nick was our server, and he was fantastic. He made good recommendations, was very nice and personal. They have really good nightly specials, and a nice ambiance. It was a surprisingly busy for a Monday, but that says a lot. We will...

It was our second visit to this bustling restaurant in Hollywood Riviera. I highly recommended it and reservations are advised. It is a cozy neighborhood gem with an ample menu of items that have all been expertly prepared. If you are looking for a Bucca de Peppo type of experience/menu I suggest you go a block farther north on PV Blvd. This is a more “high-end” Italian restaurant without being “fancy”. Our tab this weekend for 2 was $120….including one glass of wine. If you go, I highly recommend the rosemary focaccia with burrata cheese and prosciutto. That may have been the highlight of the meal. We split the hearts of palm salad that had generous slices of delicious Parmesan cheese on top. On our first visit my girlfriend ordered the octopus that she said was very good. Being from Thailand I trust her judgement. I had the lasagne that was excellent and not overly heavy or filling. On our visit last weekend my GF had the scallops that she loved and I had the lemon spinach tortelloni. If was good, but not very filling. I probably won’t order that again as a main dish. The restaurant is on the small side and the tables are close together. The two women in the foursome next to us had too much wine and got a little loud. That is why I gave them 4 stars for atmosphere. The server was top-notch. Go and enjoy for yourself!!

Cute Italian spot with delicious food and friendly staff. Came here post-hike on a Sunday for dinner and walked in without a reservation. We got a table immediately, but the hostess mentioned it was the only walk-in table available (we arrived around 6pm). Th restaurant has booths big enough for large families and can also be a good date night spot. The crowd seemed local. There’s parking available in the shared lot. Credit cards are accepted. Single occupant restrooms are located in the back. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. They event have a photo booth at the front of the restaurant. Shoutout to Meuri, who was one of the sweetest waiters I’ve ever had. She made sure to check in on us and had such a lovely charm. The food was also all on point. They provide free bread with olive oil but we got an order of brussel sprouts too (which ended up coming with the food but it’s all good). We shared our pastas so we got the pesto and the carbonara. The texture of the pastas were perfectly cooked and the sauces were flavorful, particularly the pesto. Note that if you check in on Yelp, you could get a free cannoli cheesecake. The cheesecake looks small but was heavy, so you’ll definitely need to share with one or two other people. Overall, a great spot to eat some bomb pastas and hang out.

Date night out for my partner's birthday! The food was excellent! Our server was sweet but professional and knew the menu well! It was a Monday night and that is "Date Night" there (I had no idea) so it was $75 for our appetizer, both entree's (we chose higher priced items so it wasn't the typical $65)!!! Incredible deal! Again, the food was sooooooooo good! The fresh bread before our appetizer came out was delightful, our appetizer (CARCIOFI PESTO) was scrumptious! 🤤🤤🤤 We did like eating it with the fresh bread moreso than the bread that came with it (the crunch was nice but it was difficult to dip and eat the appetizer with the thin crispy bread with so many big holes in it). Our entree's were the Brasato (so tender and flavorful) and Capesante di Aragosta. The scallops were ok -they were seared and had a great texture with minimal seasoning- and the seafood bisque was made with lobster which was scrumptious!!!! Our desert was good too! Definitely recommend!!! The photo booth was a fun extra as well!!! The ONLY thing I'd love to be different would be for seating to allow for more privacy. Each team member seemed genuinely to want us to have a good experience and we're all very kind and interactive.
