I feel so honored to have this wonderfully hidden gem nestled comfortably into my very own home town. It's location is just off the beaten track, as is their standard of beer. Nudged into the back of an impossible-to-find industrial district, this tasting room is for beer novices and beer enthusiasts alike. The atmosphere is a flashback to what it's what like to walk into a provision-era brewery. Drinks are served in a glass mason jar and refilled by loquacious and knowledgable staff upon request. Though their cups and furniture are far from fancy, they only enhance the authentic feel of this gathering room for serious beer lovers. Though their furnishings may lack class and decor, they certainly make up for it in their beer. While their atmosphere might be simple and boring, their beer is complex and exact, I have known many to call it a masterpeice. I have only recently become a beer lover and over the past year have grown to appreciate increasingly darker and more hoppy ales from around the world. However, I have yet to find a producer that has created a selection of beer, from dark, to strong, to light... and everything in between, that all maintain a perfect balance- Until now. I can honestly say that anything Bootleggers puts their name on is delicious and crisp, they have managed to perfect each and every one of their recipes. I am typically a creature of habit and fearful of wasting both money and calories on new things I dislike. However, at Redondo Beach Brewing Co I am only excited and hopeful, eager to try new batches. That being said, the thing I love most about Redondo Beach Brewing Co is not their old fashion ambiance, or even their mouth-watering beer, it's not their dynamic staff, or their great location (positioning themselves in downtown Redondo with fun shopping and great food galore!), no. What I love about this place are the friendly and genuine customers it attracts, guaranteeing us good conversations and new friends after every visit. My boyfriend and I have learned to always bring our business cards knowing that Redondo Beach Brewing Co is one of the few establishments in Southern California where young and old beer lovers meet to network, chat, and share their sincere love for this...
Read moreI have dined here for almost 10 years or so, and I come here often for a good reason, so I sincerely wish I could rate this 5 stars. The atmosphere is fun and it's a good place to sit down, relax, and have a good time (in terms of going to a restaurant). The food is generally good but almost every time I order the nachos and explicitly ask them for no jalapenos and peppers, they put them on, as they seem to forget the exact order when it gets to the kitchen. I have had to send food back, and while I do not want to be a pest, I keep having to death with this issue and have gotten frustrated. On a more positive note, when I order other foods, they usually come out pretty good, especially for a non-formal bar. I recommend the house salad and the Chicken Fingers. If you want something less casual, this place might not be the best dining options. I am 90% sure there are less casual...
Read moreA cool spot in Redondo Beach that feels almost familiar. I’ve come a couple of times with out of towners so they get that laid back Redondo vibe. The food is pretty good. This last time we ordered the nachos and I wasn’t too impressed with the salsa, but my standards are quite high. My companions didn’t seem to mind acknowledging that the nachos were massive and the salsa was “fine”. Service here is great. Everyone is really nice and I love coming here because Of that. Also, when it’s chilly at night they offer warm blankets so you can enjoy dinner on the patio. Food is good. Service is great. Ambiance...
