BlendzUP — Restaurant in Redondo Beach

I recently visited Blendzup Açaí and Coffee Shop, and wow, what an incredible experience! From the moment we walked in, the vibrant, welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic visit. The staff, particularly Aiden and Julie, were absolute gems—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had the best experience possible. I ordered the Ube bowl, and it was a total game-changer! The creamy, vibrant purple ube base was perfectly complemented by the chia pudding, which added a delightful texture. Topped with fresh strawberries, bananas, and blueberries, every bite was bursting with flavor. The date syrup drizzle brought a natural sweetness that tied everything together, while the vanilla almond granola added the perfect crunch. I also loved the subtle addition of spirulina, which gave it a nutritious boost without overpowering the taste. It was a beautifully balanced bowl, both visually stunning and absolutely delicious. We also tried their açaí bowl with the same combination of toppings, and it was just as phenomenal. The açaí was refreshingly smooth and tangy, and the toppings worked in perfect harmony to create a wholesome yet indulgent treat. It’s clear that Blendzup uses high-quality, fresh ingredients, and their attention to detail really shines through in every bite. Aiden and Julie went above and beyond, offering great recommendations and ensuring our order was prepared quickly and with care. Their warm energy made the experience even more enjoyable. Not sure how much our Riviera Village needs another "smoothie and bowls" place BUT Blendz Up hits different. Standing were the "cooking" store use to be this place is huge, fun ambience, stellar service and community oriented- unique local brand products on display/for sale.

I can only speak about the smoothies my friend and I had. It was so good -Café Mocha Smoothie; Coconut sorbet, chocolate protein, espresso bean, chocolate drizzle, and almond milk. Ingredients that sound too good and healthy to taste this great...but it does.I'm now curious about their colorful bowls but it'll be hard to go back and not to have this smoothie again!

Prices are as high as any other place. At least the smoothie is a decent size and you can taste the quality of the ingredients! Again it's delicious and served with smiles! The 'BlendzUpers' behind the counter could not be...

I originally liked this place as it offered a "Reward" program. But...Caveat Emptor. When I tried to redeem my points for a "free" Latte, I was advised that I had to order and pay for something in order to redeem my points. Seriously? $6.00 for a muffin? In addition, the lady (I use that term loosely) behind the counter gave me an attitude. Note: OK, so maybe she was having a bad morning and was overwhelmed. But.....if you are serving the general public, please take a moment to not look like you just rolled out of bed. Also, they steam their lattes to the point I've burned my tongue twice trying to sip it after waiting over 20 minutes. Needless to say I will never return. Coffee Cartel, Creme de la Crepe, The Rockefeller and Hennessey's Tavern in Riviera Village give you much more bang...
