Located on the Redondo Beach Pier in California, and open later than most other restaurants on the pier!
Food 5* husband and I both tried the quesabirria tacos. Had a nice crisp taco shell, birria was flavored well. I assumed it came with a side of consomé, but it does not. Honestly the meat is so juicy you don’t really need it!
Our friends chose the chicken tacos and torta de birria. Both said their meals were great!
Their elote was alright. We live in Nebraska, so it’s hard to enjoy corn unless it’s fresh. I am assuming they use canned corn.
Crepe was cooked nicely. Can’t go wrong with strawberries, bananas, Nutella, and whipped cream!
We went back our last day of the trip for their funnel cake! Possibly need to change their oil? The funnel cake was aright but either old oil or slightly overcooked.
Service 5* Everyone was very friendly!! Service was quick and food was brought out to us instead of having to use the pickup window.
Atmosphere 5* Right off the pier, you can see and smell the ocean from the tables right outside the restaurant. It is outdoor seating only, even if there’s not space on the few tables in front there are plenty of options just a short walk to a bench or table. Obviously plan for the weather since it’s outdoor seating!
Overall we would go back to this restaurant! They have a huge selection of food options for lunch, dinner, hitting your sweet tooth, and they are even open...
Read moreReally great food. There isn’t much seating close by so be prepared to walk the food to one of the public park benches or tables on the boardwalk to eat.
I had the Shrimp tacos which were very good, wish they doubled up the tortillas though because they were falling apart a bit. Someone else had a quesadilla and said it was really good.
Also note that they price tacos individually on the sign, but I was told you have to buy three of one kind and can’t mix and match (For example, shrimp tacos are $3.99 on the menu for one but you are required to buy 3, so it is actually $12). Slightly disappointed with this since I wanted to try the different types of meats offered.
Prices are a little expensive but comparable to other places on the boardwalk. Next time I’m in the area I’d...
Read moreFinally got to visit the pier for the first time since my childhood and had a great time! First off I had no idea there was birria place here now! My vegan friend and I were looking hoping we’d find something vegan here but weren’t betting on it and we stumbled upon This place. I ordered the birria quesadilla and it was amazing ! It was some of the best birria I’ve had while in LA and I was honestly surprised. My vegan friend ordered the vegan birria taco and he loved it ! We’ve tried other vegan birria but none of them were able to match the flavor nearly as close. The vegan tacos came with vegan birria, black beans, mango and tomatoes. My friend was taken aback because it was just that good. 10/10 recommending to all my vegan friends. Will...
