So, I have visited this place several times over the years. There has also been a lot of changes over the years. I had not visited in a while. One thing is constant though, the food is just tasty and delicious. So for this review I'll break it down into pros and cons, with a 5 star rating simply because the food and customer service during my most recent visit was 5 star quality.
Pros: • Shrimp Medley sauce is so good, especially the spicy sauce. (I ask for less garlic as well) • The Fried Ocean has a little bit of everything and just perfect. • Fountain drink refills! • Customer Service! I kept getting visits, felt great to be taken care of. • The food, the food, the food - tasty and fresh.
Cons: • Only Cash (ATM inside but charges 3 dollars for withdrawals) • Prices seem to have gone up. A lot. • There is a 15% "service charge" added to the bill. • You have to pay first before you are seated.
Me and my partner ordered 2 pounds of shrimp with sausage, 1 pound of shrimp with 1 corn, family rice, 1 fountain drink and 1 fried ocean was about $140. Again, the taste of the food made it worthwhile. I recommend this place simply because it's really good. But be prepared to spend if you don't order strategically. Don't just order random things like I do cause it will pile up and again, you need to pay in advance.
All in all, this place is still delicious and you can't go wrong with much on the menu.
I recommend visiting this place bust most than anything try:

I really like this place but,
1st) compared to the boiling crab it is priced a bit better & they don’t hold out on seasonings or condiments. Plus the bucket of beer is the best adult beverage option because you can mix up the brands.
2nd) the location is not the most ideal (redondo beach pier) is outdated & horrible in traffic but the ocean scenery is quite nice. One of the few reasons to visit the Redondo pier
3rd) this is a Thai take on Cajun style seafood. So it can be spicy & delicious or it can be mediocre, it really depends on you. I personally like it. The flavor is unique.
Lastly) it is with great sadness & disappointment to hear that this place has now gone only to cash. It’s 2020! I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now & it is surprising to see them move to such an antiquated method of payment. It is nice that they finally updated their website though cause it was awful before.
Note to owner: you may not survive long with a cash only place (it’s not a taco joint or small hole in the wall & the service has got be be a little friendlier. I used to visit this place pretty frequently but the sour visits have tainted this...

Unfriendly Service: The staff was quite unfriendly and unwelcoming, which set a negative tone for our visit.
Complicated Payment System: You’re required to pay before eating, and if you choose to pay with a credit card, there’s a 3% surcharge (you can avoid it by paying cash). On top of that, dining in adds another surcharge, which was not clearly explained. Despite the local sales tax being 9.5%, they charged us 10.95% (photo attached as proof).
Food Quality and Hygiene Concerns: We ordered the tom yum chicken soup, but it came with a couple of unexpected shell pieces. When we mentioned it to the waitress, she casually explained that it might have been left over from a previous seafood tom yum batch. Later that evening, my sister developed a rash after eating it, which raised even more concerns about the food hygiene here.
Poorly Prepared Dishes: The chicken fried rice was overly sweet, while the tom yum soup was extremely salty, making both dishes difficult to enjoy.
In summary, between the rude service, unclear extra charges, hygiene concerns, and disappointing food quality, we left feeling unsatisfied and uncomfortable. We do not recommend...
