Masato Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Remerton

This used to be a pretty good place to go. Food is good and reasonable, unfortunately the service is very hit and miss. Went in today at about 1. There were four parties of 3-4 people seated all rather quickly. After about ten minutes my wife asked the waitress who our waitress was. She responded, rather rudely “she’ll be with you in a minute. There’s only two of us.” At this point we decided to just leave, and she proceeded to shout at us “If you’d have just waited she would have been with you in a minute!” Now here’s the kicker, she had to pass by our table to take care of the other party seated with us in the same area. She walked past us no less than six times and never acknowledged our existence. The party that was seated at the same time as us had their drinks at the table already AND she had taken their order AND was already bringing them their salads. This is one of those cases where a simple acknowledgment that we even existed would have gone a long way to insuring a good experience. Sadly this makes the 3rd time we have left this restaurant in the late 18 months. We’re generally patient and will give you all the benefit of the doubt, we will even come back again and give you another shot, just don’t treat us like we do t exist and then be rude when we decide to leave. The racist service ive have ever gotten at this place. The woman was in a bad mood came to our table after waiting for about 15 minutes still came unprepared brought our drinks and took the order she brought the food and almost slamed it on the table didnt even asked if she could get us something else or nothing than another family arrived and I could hear her how nice she was being w the white couple asking them if she could bring them something else, she was leaving and i said excuseme ma’am she did not even want to come close to the table until i didnt say nothing so she had to approach us so i could ask for some sweet tea, than as im walking out she gave the ugliest rudest eye contact and i did im not going to lie i called her racist b bc not only was she rude and made me feel uncomfortable but that was pure racisism. Food was delicious I do want to say that and to the manager thank you for your very kind customer service(yes I paid for my food) is not about getting anything free here is the fact that if im gng out to eat and IM PAYING FOR MY FOOD the least i or anybody should receive is good food and customer service. Do better we all going thru difficult times here...

The food is always great but after my Call in/take out experience, I will NOT be back here! The lady who handles the call in orders at lunch was VERY rude on the phone while placing the order and when I got there to pick up my food. The first thing she said was “you have to be here in 15 minutes” in which I replied with “that’s fine” and then she seemed irritated that I still wanted to place an order. Keep in mind, they close at 2 and it was 1:15!!!!!!!! Then I get there and she’s very rude about everything and to every person she encountered as if she hates her job. I worked in the restaurant business for 5 years as a server and drive thru/call ins so I like to give people the benefit of the doubt BUT she was by far the worst person I’ve dealt with in Customer service.
