I have had worse, but I have also had better. Their prices are a little overprice for the amount that you get in regards to pho. At the menu price of a large pho being $15.95, this is considered reasonable at some pho places; however, at stone pho their large is by compariison a small to other pho places. I say this as i have eaten at a bunch and their large bowls are considerably bigger and filled with more noodle. Today at stone pho, the noodle was minimal and quite literally only took me 3 fork fulls to eat the noodle. I ordered a coke and at a price of $2.01 was given a 12 ounce can. The server only took my order and brought my food out. The taste of the pho was good and i didnt need to add anything to it. I also ordered the P5 which is what i always get no matter what place i eat pho. When i finally paid, i didnt think anything about what i had paid until i left, at which point i discovered that i was either overcharged or menu pricing is inaccurate. I was actually charged $16.48 for my P5 and not the menu price. This really doesnt matter to me other than it really instills that the food is overpriced for the amount you receive. It reminds me of the previous Pho place here in Valdosta that went out of business. In terms of better pho, i would recommend going to Tifton and have theirs. Same price as here, but has free refills and bigger portions. Stone Pho is ok in youre in a pinch and dont feel like leaving town. My total here was $19.97, which was slightly higher than the advertised menu price.

It seems if there's a military installation around, a family from another country is bringing their take on authentic cuisine from the motherland to that town. Here's the thing. Just because my background is Italian, doesn't mean I have any business cooking Italian. Just because someone's Vietnamese doesn't make them a great cook. I ate pho in East Asia for a half decade at so many Vietnamese restaurants, I lost track. This wasn't good pho. I don't mean because it wasn't overly salty like Americanized Vietnamese cuisine, but the broth had zero flavor. It wasn't salty, spicy, fish oil-y or hoisin sauc-y, nothing. It was absolutely devoid of flavor. The noodles, themselves, were thicker and gummier than any I've ever been served. I poured in about 5 Tbsp of Sriracha and somehow it was still basic. The seafood was all frozen shrimp and imitation crab like places you see in the Midwest outside military bases. The prices weren't exactly cheap, either. Their Thai teas, although larger than some places' teas, were $8 after tax. Literally like a meal price. They weren't any better than others I'd tasted elsewhere, either, because they were watered down so much with tons of ice. I just don't get the great reviews. Even at 5PM it was packed and I kept hearing people raving about it to their friends at other tables. Um... OK. The staff was sweet so I feel kinda bad being so blunt but I don't want people getting their hopes up and being super let down like I was.

After craving noodles, trying some from a different restaurant last night and being HORRIBLY disappointed, I stumbled upon this place today. They far exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was chill and laid back, the service was excellent, and the food was on point! I had the brisket pho, some fried rice, fried shrimp rolls and a milk tea (Big Back behavior, yes… judge somebody else! 😂). They all were delicious and the portion sizes were great for the prices. I couldn’t even finish it all. Customer service is always huge to me, so I was the most impressed by how every member of the staff that I encountered was extremely pleasant and went above & beyond to make sure that I was taken care of. My server was especially patient with me because I am super annoying when it comes to figuring out what I want to try at new places.. lol. This type of stellar customer service is far from the norm here in Valdosta, so I was very grateful. It was an awesome experience and I will definitely be returning!
