Ok. I was trying to figure out where to begin with this review, especially after reading the other reviews about this restaurant. Let's start with the good first: Food is not bad, I'm actually happy with the food. Now for the not-so-good news. Today is April 21, 2024, in case any associated with this restaurant decide to read this. And this is a lesson for ANY restauranteur to take note. #1. I am a person of color (black), and I don't believe I came into this restaurant dressed like the Happy Hobo looking to use the restroom, which the older lady behind the counter clearly thought that was the case. I came to place an order to go. This lady is probably the same one mentioned in other comments who is very short in words and could definitely use some training in terms of customer service, otherwise this restaurant may as well call it quits unless they can get someone in there who is more customer friendly. Instead of ASSUMING that someone walks into your establishment for any reason OTHER than to place an order to eat in or to go, how about taking the more welcoming approach (like other restaurants do) and saying "welcome to Asian Wok, how can I help you?", or "Hello and welcome! What would you like to order today?" This lady would have EASILY saved about 2 minutes of unnecessary banter with any one of those 2 statements. I'm under the impression that she is in business BECAUSE she wants to be profitable, but an attitude towards your customers like that, especially when it is their FIRST TIME to your restaurant, will easily make the difference as to whether or not they (and potentially others) will come back (more than likely they won't). Past that, the restaurant itself for the food is OK. I don't know that I would give the service glowing reviews after this first experience. Word to the wise: First impressions are the...
Read moreIf I could rate this place a zero I would for customer service and delivery. This is the second time I’ve order food from this establishment and for it to be delivery. I don’t know who the old Asian man who delivers but this is the second time his been rude and had attitude delivering my food to my home. The first time he he shoved me the box of food in my hand and ran off. This last time which was 3/24/2023 the same man arrived on time but was still very rude. Tried to force me to tip him and then had the nerve to try to verbally cuss me out and said I had to rip but I still refused because it’s optional. Nor did I promise a tip. They need to send someone else who doesn’t have an issue delivering people their food they paid for. Specially if you’re going to force your customers to tip paying with a card or in person with cash. Despite this encounter the food has always been amazing. Arrives fresh hot and everything asked for when order was placed. I have children who live in my home and it is very unprofessional that your staff behaves and treat...
Read moreI just got the BEST ever Mongolian Beef dish I've had in over 15 years! Big thick cuts of sliced beef, lots of perfectly sautéed onions, and the perfect amount of quality heat from spices. Not mild, washed out heat with just barely a taste of onions. Nope. This was outstanding perfect heat that makes you appreciate your drink, but hot enough that you are loving the spicy sensation on your tongue. If you are a Mongolian Beef fan, please go try it out at Asian Wok Mae-Anne and report back. It comes with a small container of white rice. I added an order of BBQ Pork Chow Mein, that was also really outstanding. Big cuts of sliced tender meat, lots of perfect noodles and some slivered veggies. Not greasy, not washed out and mushy...perfection. I'm beyond satisfied with my $24.06 I just spent, which also included an order of 6 pot stickers. My first choice place was closed, The Wok over on Silverada Blvd. Theirs is good, but I'm now sold on Asian...
