Take my review with a grain of salt that this happened a few years ago and I thought I posted a review then, but when Google sent my local guide year in review and summary of my reviews, I notice it missing, so here goes. Went in early evening and it was not busy. There was two, maybe three, other customers in the store and only one car in the drive through. I was ordering a to go order for three people, so not exactly a huge order. I ended up waiting over 10 minutes for my order (I don't remember exactly, but I remember the car in the drive through pulled up roughly the same time that I placed my order and their highly visible drive through timer was maxed out at 9:59 well before my order was ready). I didn't check my order before I left, which I admit was my mistake, but when I got home I found that of the three combos we ordered, two had the wrong sandwich, one had the wrong side, and all of them were lukewarm at best. For that type of wait, everything should have been hot and fresh and darn near perfect. Reading other reviews, it seems my experience wasn't unique, which is a shame because I normally really enjoy Carl's Jr, but my advice would be to avoid this one, if you want burgers that are quick and close, go across the shopping center to Jack in the Box, and if you absolutely must fulfill your Carls Jr craving, drive the extra few miles to the...
Read moreI haven't been to a Carl's in decades, but I wanted to see if it was as good as I remembered. I remember getting the Six Dollar Burger, for like $3.00. That's long gone, I think the closest thing they have is a big Carl burger for like over $8.00 bucks! I did see a less expensive option that actually looked pretty good. It was the California Double Cheeseburger or just $3.50, and came with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and pickles. For that price I got that as dod my friend, who added fried zucchini and onion rings. These two sides were priced about $5.00 bucks each inc some tax. Way more than I'd pay, but he wanted them anyways.
I'll say this California Double Cheeseburger is the best bang for the buck on the menu. It's similar to a Double Double at In N Out, but not quite as good. For the price it's cheaper though. The burger had a good flame broiled flavor that In N Out won't have. I'll come back here...
Read moreHorrible. Carl's Jr used to be one of my favorite places to go. However, over the last year and a half the quality has dropped dramatically. I figure everyone has on off day so I have gone back periodically hoping for better results - Nope. This last experience, we sat at the drive thru waiting for our food for twenty minutes. When the employee handed us a bag saying "here's your order", handed us a bags with napkins and ketchup - no food. To top it off he was drunk as well. You could see other employees trying to deal with this idiot while the line at the drive thru continued to back up. When we finally did receive our order it was once again subpar. I can't justifiably give this...
