Del Taco — Restaurant in Reno

What a horrible experience at this particular Del Taco! Last night some friends and I were in a long line of cars waiting in the drive-thru at the DaMonte Ranch Del Taco. When we were the second car from the ordering menu the drive-thru clerk announced that that car would be the last order before they closed. Other places I know of would go outside and cordon off the drive-thru to prepare for closing. So, starting with the car in front of us, we are in a slow line that we can't back out of along with several other cars behind our car, all in the same situation...all of us who waited patiently in line for so long and who were now being refused service. They refused to speak to anyone else as we were all eventually able to drive up to the speaker and plead for our food. Why not try? It was still 5 minutes before the advertised closing time when we got up to the menu speaker. When we were finally free to drive out we had clocked about 27 minutes of wasted time, wasted gas, and wasted saliva. What poor management they must have there that would keep on employees who treat their customers in such an unfair and dismissive way. If I owned a business and saw that kind of ill-treatment to my customers, and also my business by closing up early despite the waiting customers, there wouldn't be any pink slips or second warnings - the disrespectful slackers would be gone that instant and replaced with someone more trustworthy...

There was once upon a time you could go to del Taco and actually get a good quality products such as the macho combo burrito it was like over a pound of burrito and they actually used real ground beef not some boiled ground beef product in a bag. Unfortunately the tacos smell and taste like dog food and I'm not trying to be mean a once great taco establishment that gave Taco Bell run for the money his following even farther behind if they would just bring back their original menu again and stop being so stingy and cheap as well as cutting corners they would get me to come back. Unfortunately the only food I really eat at del taco is there cheese quesadillas maybe if I'm really hungry they're being a cheese burritos. On occasion I will get the carne asada or street tacos which aren't too bad but overall is a company they have gone downhill if they bring back the older menus as well as bring up the quality of their food I might reconsider...

A Dasher came through the drive-thru as I have for months... then I was rudely told now you can wait in line with everybody else and then come around the side come in the store to pick up your order after waiting. This was really stupid and extremely rude! Pulling up to the window, I asked Can I please have the order seeing as I waited for 15 minutes to get to the window I couldn't back up because of other cars they said NO! Then I had to go around the building making the customer wait for their food order then I had to stand in line between three other people they had nobody to help then when I finally came up to the line they said sorry our fryer is broken you can't have anything in that order!!! They could have said that at the window right? So I have taken them off doordash because they're rude and they won't cooperate even if somebody's already paid for their order!! HORRIBLE...
