In Boston, most all Irish bars serve food and are like half restaurants and very popular hangouts for all types of people. Out west, most Irish bars are dives. Corrigans is a bit o'a dive. It gets packed for St Patrick's Day. Of course, if you want to get away, it's nice, comfortable, safe, and the you don't have to wait to get a drink, mostly because there's not much of a line. But, I guess, these days, it's trendy or cool for young hipsters to hang out at dives. There are several dives in Reno that have yet to be discovered by this virulent strain of dive crashers, and let's keep it that way at least for sake of the sad, loners who don't like sharing their evenings with a bunch of hot, yet unavailable to them babes and goofy, tattoo sleeve wearing hipsters who think making condescending chit chat with middle-aged loners gives them street cred to impress their honeys.
