I lived in Los Angeles for 20+ years and was always on the lookout for a great burrito there. L.A. has about 1 million restaurants that sell burritos and it feels to me like I tried all of them. Then four years ago I moved to Reno and started searching for Reno's best burrito and after lots of looking I concluded that my search could stop at Speedy Burritos. Since finding Speedy a couple of months ago I guess I've eaten 20-25 of their large carnitas burritos. The meat has always been cooked perfect, it's lean--unlike carnitas at so many other places--and the guys behind the counter are always so pleasant. I drive halfway across town to get to Speedy and it's been worth it every time. As soon as I finish this review I'll be on my way there. I like my food extra-spicy, so I've taken to asking the guys to slice up an entire cooked jalapeno pepper and add it to the burrito. They do it with pleasure and no extra cost. Sometimes I want just the meat and the pepper in my burrito and I get it that way no extra charge. I'm so glad I don't have to drive all the way to L.A. for an excellent burrito, but I'm the type of person that would if the need arose. I love these guys. My only suggestion is that they change their name. It's true that they are speedy, but a better and equally accurate name would be Super-Extraordinary Burritos. Or Outrageously Tasty...
Read moreIf you’re craving fast, flavorful Mexican fare in Reno, Speedy Burritos is definitely worth a visit. The food is nothing short of amazing their burritos are packed with fresh, perfectly seasoned ingredients and a generous portion size that feels like great value for money. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better bargain in town!
The shop itself exudes charm from its vibrant murals to the comfy seating, it’s a warm and inviting spot to enjoy a bite. Plus, the location couldn’t be more convenient right in the heart of Reno, making it a quick stop whether you’re coming from work, a hike, or downtown.
The only noticeable downside is the wait time: it can get a bit long during peak hours. That said, trust me, it’s absolutely worth it. The quality and flavor you get more than make up for a few extra minutes in line.
Bottom line: Great food, unbeatable prices, delightful atmosphere, and a central location just be prepared to wait (but it’s worth it!). Highly recommended for...
Read moreI was getting excited to come try this place until I saw the reviews from some of the employees that work here and what they said about other stores I myself shop at chefs store more than 4 times a week and I have never had a bad experience with any of the workers there every time I go there everyone is so happy and focused on giving the customers a great experience especially this young lady Katie that has always helped me with my stuff since I can’t carry a lot it is very sad to see that a Very miserable person like DEREK LEMUS took time out of his day to make a bad review on a really joyful person. Even if you take your business elsewhere the store will still run and you'd be doing them a favor I myself wouldn't want to deal with you either if that was the case, and since this negative person is working for this company I will be taking my business...
