I unfortunately had a terrible experience here, and I was so disappointed because I was so excited to try it after hearing good things.
A couple of friends and I went on a Sunday to try their “Gilmore girls” coffee flight experience and opted in for the skillet pairing, which came out to nearly $50 after tax and tip. Which was pretty pricy, and some of the skillets were undercooked and inedible.
Given that it was a busy Sunday, we were understandable about the long wait time, but after an hour of waiting, I think we can all agree that’s excessive for coffee. So, I went up to register to inquire about it, in which a passing server said we had to just wait on the flight cups because of how busy they are, and assured me that my order was coming. The owner was working the register and tried to explain to the server that that wasn’t the case for my order and that we had been waiting for a while, but didn’t follow up on it, and instead told us it would be right out. So, I gave it an additional 20 mins, and newer orders were still being filled before mine.
I finally went to the owner at the register to ask for a refund, due to the excessive waiting and them accidentally skipping my order (even after I asked about it). I asked for a receipt, just in case, and I’m so glad I did because she accidentally gave the refund to the wrong customer.
So, I had to go back inside, explain, and wait again for her to find the correct order. This took an additional 30 minutes. We were there for over two hours between our first order and the refund process. I unfortunately cannot speak to the quality of the coffee, since I never got to try it. But the skillets were small, underwhelming, and not worth the money imho.
I know this is a new business, and everyone has growing pains, but what really stuck with me was the poor customer service. That’s what keeps customers coming back. No one checked on us the entire time, it was expensive, the food portions were small and underwhelming, we didn’t feel welcomed, and the service from both the owner and their servers was dismissive.
I really hope they learn and improve, but there are plenty of other really amazing and yummy coffee shops in town that won’t make you wait an hour and half, have great coffee, and better customer service, that I’ll be...
Read moreNever in my life have I thought, "that's an hour out of my life I'll never get back", until I came here - except, it was OVER an hour of my time wasted.
I went with the sole purpose of getting the Gilmore Girl flight with my daughter. I also brought along my son. We visited on Saturday, October 25. We arrived at 12pm. There were a lot of people there, with no indication of how to order. We place our order through the kiosk and stand as there was NO seating as all tables were occupied. A table became available while waiting.
We waited 45 minutes to get three cookies and a mini loaf of bread. While waiting I saw another patron get frustrated by the wait and requested a refund. By the time an hour had passed, I went to see about getting a refund as well, for the $20 flight. When I inquired, I was told that she was making mine and that they have to wait for the flight glasses to be returned by other patrons to wash them for other flights (meanwhile, dishes are piling up in the area behind where we were sitting, where they keep napkins etc, including several flight glasses and trays). *NO WHERE was this mentioned...not on their ordering kiosk, not online, etc. *THIS SHOULD BE A SET EXPECTATION so people can decide if they want to wait an awful amount of time for coffee. I decided against the refund and waited since she was working on it. We recieved our flight at 1:25. All in all, we got there at 12pm, and left at 1:30 p.m. IN NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM IS IT ACCEPTABLE to wait an hour and a half for coffee, let alone a flight. The flight was mid at best, with only one actually being good.
Not only was time wasted, I wasted $40 on what I hoped would be a great experience shared with my daughter. Another lesson learned to never tip before I know the quality of service and food.
I'm so disappointed and frustrated with the experience and the...
Read moreThe absolutely unethical pricing of the skillets is beyond comprehension and despicable.
I don't even know where to begin with this place. I chose to come here to support their mission of locally sourced, sustainable, and ethical breakfast. However, we were blown away by the horrendously small portion size of the skillet versus the pricing. Both skillets we ordered were 3-4 bites of food (NOT KIDDING) for $14. They were tasteless, bland, and honestly the whole idea of ethics doesn't seem to apply to how they treat their customers. The staff was mostly rude and dismissive, despite the messaging on the wall. We spent $55 on breakfast for two people and we each got one 16oz iced coffee and one skillet that was 3 inches in diameter and underfilled. We spent less on dinner at our hotel the night before and got apps and entrees! I can't BELIEVE they would think this is okay. Shady, unethical, unkind business practices absolutely ROBBING their customers blind. The coffee was superb - but $10 for a 16oz iced coffee with a lot of ice is too much. Our whole day was ruined because we left breakfast starving and broke. The vibe was so off, it's just a facade painted on the wall but not the heart of the business itself. This place is...
