Iāve both never written a review nor turned down free food before eating food from here. Every week since July my work has ordered from this Jimmy Johns as a nice bonus to provide a meal for all the employees.
The first two weeks, the food wasnāt anything special but was fine enough to stomach. After that though, the quality of the food has significantly tanked. For months, Iāve tried ordering different options from the menu thinking maybe itās just one option thatās bad. At this point Iāve now tried every option that sounded remotely edible. Out of the 26 odd sandwiches Iāve had, 2 were fine. 1 was borderline acceptable, and 23+ have been the most rancid things Iāve ever had the unpleasure to eat.
Itās gotten so bad that the past 3 times weāve ordered from here Iāve not ordered, but this week I had too much on my schedule at work to leave and get my own food. I decided to give you a last chance. You have failed me.
The reasons for your food being unpalatable rancid trash come down to three primary reasons from what I can tell. The most heinous of the reasons is that itās very easy to tell you buy the worst quality meats and continuously freeze and thaw them many times repeatably. The worst of that is the salami, and the least offensive is the ham.
The second reason is your quality of vegetables. There were many weeks where the lettuce you provided was not crunchy or green. Instead they were slimy, watery and yellow. The onions are never white, they are instead yellow and brown around the edges. However, the variance from week to week of your freshness for vegetables is all over the place with no discernible pattern.
The third reason I will give as a personal choice, you use more sugar in your bread than you realistically should. Typically when I personally think of a sub sandwich, I consider it to be a savory dish. The amount of sugar you use in the bread clashes with that.
The only saving grace of your establishment is that ordering online from you is easy, and pick up always goes without a hitch. If not for that I would leave 1 Star. Iām hoping in the future your quality raises and matches your competitors of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible experience. The guy with glasses and beard in the photo was very rude, unprofessional and basically didnāt want to work there. We came to the store at 8:30pm and the store hours said they close at 9pm as shown on the photo. I asked the guy whether they are open and he says āUnfortunatelyā and started saying something to the woman behind him and then started throwing stuff around. I was confused, and then asked again since he seemed annoyed to be open. Same answer. I told him how are you open if youāre throwing a tantrum and saying āunfortunatelyā. I almost lost it but just left the place. I didnāt want to take a risk with my food being prepared by some unstable tantrum throwing guy. We love eating at jimmy johns but weāll never step again into this location or maybe any location if the owners canāt even hire proper personnel (these people are preparing our food). The owner of this location should definitely consider firing this guy, heās costing them a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm a small business owner and spend about $200 a week ordering from jimmy johns. We just opened a new location and I call jimmy johns to order lunch for the crew. They informed me they wont deliver to me because we are 1.5 miles from their location and told me to call a store that is 3 miles a way. All I kept getting was the run-around. Talking to the manager at the store that is 3 miles away he stated they have a 5 mile delivery zone yet no store will deliver to our new store. My new store is in the middle of Reno yet cant get any service or exceptions to get sandwiches. After talking with Jimmy Johns on longley (disrespectful) and the east 9th store I will not be spending one more cent at Jimmy Johns along with I will be sharing how i was treated. I am truly disgusted with the...
