This is a gracious 3 stars as I'd more realistically give 2.5 since it's no more than your average taco shop. Infact, if the carne asada didn't have that flavor you expect, it would be even less. Here's what I liked... •Carne asada flavor was on point (but my enjoyment ended there). •Atmosphere. Super clean and bright and spacious. •Ordering ease. The counter order equipped with microphone was awesome and easy. •Crew. Super polite and patient. •Cleanliness. Already mentioned but deserving of its own shout out. Also, the crew was timely and cleaned the tables.
Now, there's some stuff I didn't like... •Carne asada. While the flavor was there, it was super dry, inconsistent texture (hard and soft), and inconsistent chop. •Sour cream. Runny and lacking flavor. •Beans. Too thick. Too "canned"-like. Not sure if it was canned or not. •Chicken. Dry and under seasoned. •Salsa/salsa bar. There were only 2 option, limes, and canned jalapeños. Plus, red sauce had no heat and lacking flavor. Super disappointed. ....and my biggest disappointment was... •Chips. Oh I almost didn't even want to eat. Infact I only ate 1/2 of what I wanted because they were store bought. And not like the good ones you can fine now but these were the hard, round, over salted, bought in bulk store chips.
The menu was large and I will come back to...
Read moreI would go get their breakfast burritos often, but hadn’t gone in atleast a month. I went in and the deal was gone, which is fine, I get prices go up. When I ordered it was a young kid I’d never seen and seemed to struggle and move very slow. Had four orders and didn’t know whose was whose... When I got my burrito it was supposed to be egg, rice, beans, and meat. It had basically a huge greasy scoop of chorizo with raw onion and a little bit of rice. I know chorizo is greasy, but where is the breakfast in my breakfast burrito? So, I paid $3 more a piece for what ended up being thrown away. I got two and they were both wrong, the kid taking order even said breakfast burrito back to me because he seemed to be hard of hearing. There was also a woman that got iced tea and asked for sugar PACKETS and the kid had to go to the back to figured out what it even was. Which ended up taking like ten minutes just to tell the girl they have not one sugar packet in the place...what happened? Upgrading all the technology in there to give up the good service and food that it once was? I will not be returning and wish I could get my...
Read moreI am disabled and it's difficult for me to be mobile. I reviewed the menu of what I wanted and sent my son into the restaurant to order me a combination plate. You'll see that I've attached the menu showing that it was a choice of meat that should have been included. So I selected beef tongue. To my disbelief, after the fact I read on the receipt that I was charged an ADDITIONAL $6 for the tongue on TOP of the charge for the combination plate which brought my meal to $12.49. Furthermore, there was ZERO taste... no seasoning to the tongue meat whatsoever to add insult to injury. It was bland. Probably just boiled, that's it. It was awful. I'll never order or eat there again. What a RIP OFF! UPDATE: I have changed my rating from one to now four stars because I have spoken with the owner, Ricardo on the phone and he was open to receiving my feedback, apologized that the menu was offering inaccurate information and offered my money back. Although, I don't care about getting my money back, after all I did eat the food and then discovered the receipt charge afterwards. I appreciate his receptiveness on...
