I’ve tried giving this place multiple chances, but I can’t go back. After getting to know the managers—including GM Eric Hamilton—it’s clear this location is on borrowed time.
The biggest red flag? The GM & management team is actively looking for new jobs. Check Indeed or job boards, and you’ll see they’re hiring for nearly every position. That alone should tell you something. I’ve noticed the Twin Peaks girls leaving and being replaced with new faces, but for management to be leaving just three months after opening is a huge red flag.
The owners, who made their fortune in convenience stores, have no experience running a restaurant or bar. And it shows.
The issues trickle down to the Twin Peaks girls, most of whom have little to no service experience, since the company prioritizes looks over actual hospitality skills. The result? Poor service, long waits, and constant issues at the bar. • Wine glasses? Either filthy or out of stock. • The bars? Sticky and poorly maintained. • Drink garnishes? Nonexistent. • Liquor bottles? Always running out. • Bartenders and barbacks? Completely untrained, struggling to keep up.
Expect to wait an hour for a single drink—if you even get one. And if the bartender messes it up, you’ll have to pay again to get it remade because they rely on an iPad instead of basic bartending knowledge.
Corporate trainers have already had to revisit this location, which is never a good sign. At this rate, they’ll likely terminate the lease early, and this former Claim Jumper will sit empty again.
If you expect standard restaurant and bar service like you’d find in Reno or Vegas, go elsewhere. There are plenty of places where the drinks are stronger, the service is prompt, and you won’t be nickel-and-dimed for a ramekin of watery ranch.

Read moreThis place had been highly recommended by friends so I was eager to give it a try. Honestly it just wasn't for me. The best thing there that we had all night was the billionaire bacon. That bacon is super solid. No complaints.
We also ordered the sampler. The cheese bites were amazing. The Buffalo chicken tenders were honest chicken tenderloin which I appreciate. The fried pickles were entirely too salty to enjoy. (If you like your food over salted, you'll be fine, it's just not my personal preference.)
My boyfriend ordered the chicken fried steak and he said he liked it. I ordered the ribs because they sounded good. However, they were the most disappointing rack of ribs I've ever had in my life. I've seen a lot of other reviews saying they're super tender. Maybe it was just an off night but mine were very dense and overly chewy. Just exhausting to chew through.
I was pretty excited to try the mac and cheese that came with my ribs, however, they said it was sold out for the night. She asked me what I would like instead and I said the asparagus. But when I got the bill I noticed I was up charged for my substitution. Even though it wasn't my fault they were sold out of what was supposed to come with the dish. I just find that really tacky. So I guess my advice is watch your bill. I didn't think it was worth arguing over and I just kind of wanted to leave at that point. So I paid and left. I doubt I will be back. As I really just wasn't impressed with what we tasted. Aside from the bacon again, that was stellar. But that's hardly a reason to go back to a restaurant for a full meal when you only...
Read moreI had the absolute pleasure of attending the grand opening of Twin Peaks Reno tonight, located at 150 E. Plumb Ln., Reno, NV 89502. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was incredible—modern yet cozy, and filled with that signature Twin Peaks energy. Our servers, Chau and Megan, were nothing short of amazing—friendly, attentive, and let’s just say, they definitely add to the enjoyable ambiance!
Now, onto the food, which was absolutely top-notch. We shared a variety of dishes, and each one was a hit.
• Hottie Flatbread: A perfect mix of spice and flavor! The crispy crust paired with the toppings had just the right amount of heat. • Chips and Queso: The queso was creamy and packed with flavor, the perfect appetizer to share, and the chips were fresh and crunchy. • Meatball Skillet: These meatballs were rich and savory, cooked to perfection and served in a delicious marinara sauce. • Smoked Wings: The wings were smoky, tender, and juicy with just the right amount of char—easily some of the best wings I’ve had. • Chipotle Chicken: Flavorful, with the perfect hint of chipotle spice, juicy and well-seasoned. • Apple Turnover: The grand finale! Flaky, buttery pastry filled with sweet apple goodness, and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Heaven!
Of course, no visit to Twin Peaks is complete without their ice-cold beer, served with that iconic Twin Peaks flair—always frozen, always fresh!
If you’re in the Reno area, make sure to check out this brand-new location. Twin Peaks Reno has set the bar high with their food, service, and unbeatable atmosphere. I’ll definitely...
