Sushi One — Restaurant in Reno

Horrible experience and hope other's will try other AYCE sushi joint in Reno, like Tokyo sushi or ohana sushi. Customer service was just awful, slow and rude. Always had to flag down our waiter for a refill, missing rolls and ordering sheet. Its seems like we we're invisible and seems like they didn't want to serve us. Long wait just to get water, appetizer and rolls. I even had to flagged them down for them to get our ordering sheet. We had to wait at least 20min or more for our next order of sushi. The more we ordered the more irritated the waiter and owner seems to be. FYI, it's AYCE so why give off a bad vibe when we're spending money at your establishment, but this will be my last time and will let friends and family from out of states to avoid this place. This place has gone downhill with the quality of fish and rolls. Fish had a fishy smell like it was old. The fish to rice ratio is more on the rice side with very thin fish to get you full faster. There is alot of turnover of sushi chef and this is probably why the rolls are not as good as before. I believe the rude Horrible owner chase them away. Owner will read this and will say something rude, negative and disrespectful because of the 1 star review lmao! Like the other person who left a 1 star review and the owner look down on that person with his rude replied saying "he has a bad mindset and he will never own a business and wish him no luck because there is nothing waiting for him" why so negative towards a customer review? You're a business owner and you should know better to say things like that, because word of mouth travel fast. My advice to the owner is to enroll yourself in anger management class. Literally the WORST service in my life. My family and I were treated so rudely. I have worked in the same industry for 13+ years and have never been served or have treated someone the way our server treated us. Gave us one menu For a table of 5 people who we stated had never eaten there. I had a stomach surgery and cannot eat all you can eat so I chose to order by roll Knowing I cannot share and being told as if I am 4 years old oct again that I cannot share. Understanding and not feeling the need to explain myself, being watched to make sure I don’t eat anyone else, being asked 4+ times if I was done with my plate before I even ate half of it? To verify I wasn’t eating anyone else’s. Taking our sons to go food in the back and not giving it back until I asked for it even though the sushi from the all you can eat from my other family was already gone. My uncle wouldn’t even order because he felt so uncomfortable and was spoken to like he was so incompetent. We walked in an hour and 20 minutes before they closed. I have NEVER NOT TIPPED IN MY LIFE! This is the one and only time I wish I could of just tipped my chefs and not the servers. Again I’ve been a server for 13 years. Atmosphere: Look well kept, tall skinny building. Decorated for Halloween.

Greeting: Fast, friendly

Smell: Good BBQ, smells like steak

Sound: White people music, 70s 80s

Mussels: Salty, a little chewy, good taste, not overdone

Wait Time: 2 minutes

Crowd: Not too busy

Staff: Happy, funny, singing, joking with us. Went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome.

Drink Service: Sake less than 2 minutes
