Peppermint Hippo — Restaurant in Reno

Shady and rude business. Got there with a friend, needed to grab something outside and asked front desk girl if they had in-n-out privileges. She said yes and we just need a stamp. Then on our way out a security guard asks us where we are going and we tell him we are going to get the stamp to leave and come right back, to which he replies ”ok cool”.Then a manager stops us and says otherwise, then the first security guard comes and tries to fight us because when asked who told us we could leave, we told the manager it was the security and front desk. Security guard got offensive and had to be restrained by staff after he just told us “cool” to leave and we only said exactly that to his supervisor. Then, the manager reluctantly gave us a stamp and said “just this once.”

Once we’re back, my friend takes a girl to the back rooms, only to be haggled about private dance pricing. First the girl says “xx$” for dance, then the usher at the doors says “xxxx$” for a dance, only to then say “if you give me a large tip, ill set you back in the rear so you can get more handsy.”

My opinion on this place, don’t go and find...

Call and spoke with a female manager, they said they are plus size friendly but that is not the case at all. I don’t know why they say plus size friendly and hire staff that is discriminatory. The valet to the security to the man hiring girls all ignored me and only made eye contact with my very skinny and beautiful friend who was auditioning with me. Other girls who saw the audition said I did amazing and that this “manager “ was known to be prude. When I asked for tips to pass he told me that he didn’t have to answer me. That’s understandable but it was his attitude that threw me off. The other girls didn’t seem to like him either and the mention of his name showed a bad reaction from them. Seeing as he had a bad rep, I don’t get it why he’s the one handling...

Overall DO NOT GO HERE. $30/2 people to get in. $30 for 2 drinks. Awful experience and place. The nicest person there was the gentleman ‘host’ who gave us a tour of upstairs that was closed….because it was completely dead. The ‘bartender’ asked me what a 7&7 was? 😮 This girl got on stage and didn’t get one dollar. I think that says enough. About 5 minutes after she got off stage she asked if my fiancé or I if we wanted a lap dance and I politely said no thank and she introduced herself and then as we were leaving my fiancé asked her “can we go out this door?” (It was a side door) and she rolled her eyes and said you can do whatever you want. Don’t be rude because we didn’t want a lap dance from you. Overall DO NOT GO HERE. $30/2 people to get in. $30...
