will never do business with this store again. I bought my bike on June 7th ordered a stage 4 kit tuner, new pipes, new air intake, sissy bar and a cruise control. I was told that all parts & labor would total 7500 at max that is with dyno tuning & all paid for all the parts and never received a receipt for it. I dropped my bike off a the third week of July after all the parts should have been there. After like the 3rd time I was told that it was not there i decided that i was not going to wait anymore because i was nervous about the warranty on it being void after the 2 month period of buying the bike. It was getting close and the very next day they called & said the stage 4 kit was in, which is weird because it was not even supposed to ship for another 4 to 5 days! This was at about 11am on a tuesday morning that they called and i said yes put it on. I then asked Daniel the silver tongued service manager what the price was going to be just to double check and he said he was not sure because all the hours had not been billed yet meaning they charge for hours worked, and he had to wait for the job to get done. Sounds odd right. Fast forward to thurs around noon of the same week. I get a call that the bike is done. Okay sweet whats the remainder of the bill that I owe 4500 (I had already paid for all the parts 4300) of a bill that is going to be 7500 dollars! How did it go up that much? Daniel tells me that is how much that job costs & you never paid for the tuner $700. As far as i knew i did why would i buy all the parts except the tuner. Makes no sense and Im not paying that much & so i asked where is the other cost coming from to make it that much. Well you had a lot of parts like the sissy bar ,the foot peg that we changed out (I DID NOT ORDER A FOOT PEG) and everything else. Now i did get exhaust & such so i asked don't you all take all that off anyway when you do the stage 4. There should not be any extra cost to put new parts on when you are taking the motor apart anyways. Daniel tells me oh no we don't CHARGE for that but HARLEY says that 33.4 hours is how long that job takes so why couldn't he give me a def price when i asked. To install the stage 4 & map it to the tuner. Weird because it only took about 20 hours to install all parts according to the time they asked me if I still wanted the install to the time on Thursday to when they said it was done. Okay sounds fishy but ill pay the price of 3800 just so its done & over with & i would talk to Daniel in person. Meanwhile i call every HD DEALER IN THE STATE and got quotes from them. Not one of them was over 2200 dollars for the install with dyno & all they tell me that Harley says that the booked hours on that job are no more than 22 hour. Good job Daniel you just lost a customer for life in Reno HD. Its already done & i know that since I already paid I'm not getting any kinds of refunds from them but i do explain to Daniel that i had called every HD in NV & what they quoted me he told me they were fishing to get me in there almost like what you all did huh Daniel. i picked up my bike got it home & found that the right rear peg was down i go to put it up & it falls back down again, wont lock in place how does this happen its brand new i look closer & what do i find the arm that hold the peg is beat all to hell so i call Reno & let the know whats going on I take pictures I could email them in case they want to see it for them selves. Daniel calls the next morning so i tell him whats going on he says to bring the bike in I tell him I live 4 hours away can send him a pic if he will send the part ill put it on myself he tells me they arn't going to do that. looks to me like they at least new about the peg & mount being jacked up Why else would he have brought changing out my peg in a prior convo at the worst took mine off to replace someone else. management there is shady don"t GO there I now its under new management now from when I was told that they were good to deal with save yourselves money & being lied to go...
Read moreI went to Chester’s Harley last week and bought 5 shirts and a pair of knee high black leather riding boots, spending more than $400. After getting home, I wore the boots and one of my favorite shirts I just bought. Several days later, I put on the tank top I bought, but it was to small, I needed one size larger. I drove back up to the store to exchange it. I was informed by two women at the register that the Harley store had been bought out 2 days before so I could not exchange anything, get my money back, or even exchange it for another item!! WHAT????? The store has been bought out and they no longer do any form of customer service for anything that was bought previous to the new owner. 2 DAYS AGO, they were bought... knew this was going to happen and yet never told the customers..... THE BEHAVIOR OF THE STAFF AND THE ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE LOYAL CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE AND THE FAILURE TO PROCESS A VAILD SALE WITHIN 5 DAYS CAN ONLY BE DESCRIBED AS ABHORRENT!! I told the female clothing manager that I would NEVER shop in their store again due to this and she said “That’s fine.” Wow! I have never seen such a disrespectful, and unconcerned manager in all my years. She is a complete discrase to the Harley name! She should be terminated! I can’t imagine the new owner would let someone like this represent the store.
My husband owns a Harley that he loves, and I have spent years trying to talk him Into buying another. He was in the store looking at a bike while I was trying to exchange the shirt. After this ridiculous refusal to let me exchange my shirt for the exact same shirt hanging on the rack, I walked over to him and told him what happened. He was as mad as I was and walked off from the bike he intended to buy. So not only have they lost my business, but the lost the sale of a 40k bike! We will not be back, and will make sure that none of our friends are either! If this is the way the new owner does business, I can’t imagine they will stay open long! Thank goodness for the other badass Harley stores we love to shop at and the internet!
Do yourself a favor..... Pass on this horrible experience! We have nothing positive to say about our experience at Reno Harley since under...
Read moreThis is probably the best dealership experience I have ever had. I have been in the auto and motorcycle industry for over 20 years and I hate dealerships usually, they usually hate me too by time we are done.
Reno HD didn't play the games or the hard sell BS. These guys aren't like that. I made an appointment over the phone with Mathew in sales and showed up 15 minutes late. He, Austin, Mack and Mariah handled my deal so smoothly. Matt and Austin were super cool to deal with and guided me right. I know about bikes, I've owned a few HDs but these guys live this stuff. Every question I had or idea about parts or the engine build in my head, they had solid info and answers.
The deal was so easy, I got exactly what I wanted, how I wanted it and the price was completely fair. No hidden BS or fees, everything made sense and was quantifiable. Then Joseph and Justin in service killed for me on getting stuff installed same day that I wanted to leave with day one. That isn't normal in my experiences. To top it off I decided to purchase an engine upgrade package and they had everything in stock, that just felt good to pay the big $ and actually get your hands on it immediately.
Another thing worth parise, I had Justin in service tune the new bike, to make sure it was dialed at our elevation and with the first parts changed until I setup the 131" and no joke the bike is faster than my old fully modified LRST on a 131. He is an awesome calibrator, if your bike isn't tuned by him you are slacking.
Last but not least, I took my wife in there days later because she is considering her first bike, stepped away and let the team talk to her and learn about what her goals are. They are actual fit specialists and not sales people, now she is hooked and shopping for a used Dyna. Can't thank them enough.
Go to Reno HD, you won't regret working...
