We went for a late lunch. I wish we chose somewhere different. The sushi was warm The plates at the bar of the fish were left out to use instead of kept inside the cooler

I had ikura and only ate one piece They were sour, not salty at all, and they looked like the insides of each one had settled. Defineatly held too long and or in too high of a temperature. The other rolls that came out were room temperature. The dishes had a slick film and dots and specks on them. The sake had bubbles when poured into the shot glass like soap residue. And the taste reflected that of soap residue.

We explained the issue to the kind waitress. The owners still had us pay. I decided to just pay and leave the table full of food.

But now I am sick. I threw up on the way home from the restaurant and am experiencing all the fun miserable bathroom issues that go with bad sushi. Diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain, sweating and cold.

Now looking through the other reviews I see I made a huge mistake dining here.

So many others with food poisoning and warm wrongly held raw fish.

I regret going here.

And I feel bad for anyone that has been or could be hurt by eating here.

Update:

I called and spoke to the owner Uni. She said that if someone else reports not feeling well then to try back. But otherwise there's nothing she can do and she refused to give me my money back. She said it's not her problem it's my problem and it's not her job to make sure everyone is okay after eating the food there. I recorded the end of the conversation after being blown away by her lack of concern and her terrible customer service. She said do what you have to do and hung up on me after saying she can't be in the phone arguing she's busy. I am blown away. And she's the owner? She told me she did not have time. I cannot believe someone that owns a restaurant would behave so very poorly. The health department should stop by, and I do intend on going back and getting my money back.

$90 to feel terrible and to be told it's not her problem. Miss Uni, terrible terrible guest service. Terrible way to deal with food...

My friend and I went for dinner one evening last week. I have been there a few times. The Sushi is always good and fresh, service is usually pretty good and i love the environment. When we went this past time I ordered a calamari roll. The server brought a similar-looking roll to the table and I ate about half of it. As I was halfway through with it it she brought another roll to the table and said it was the calamari roll. I was unaware that i was eating shrimp, which I'm allergic to (They were both breaded and fried in these particular rolls so the difference wasn't highly noticeable). I ended up turning very red and itchy so we explained to the server what had happened. She thought we were ordering another shrimp roll so she brought it out. She also brought one other incorrect roll to our table during all of this. I told the sushi chef and he became very emotional (very kind but not going to save me at ths point). They offered box my remaining rolls and allow me to take it to go even though we ordered all you can eat. I went home and experienced anaphylaxis about an hour after ingesting, had to use my epi-pen, go to primary care and then urgent care as the allergen hadn't fully left my system by the next day. They gave us 20 percent off. It was not the best experience of my life. If I return I will definitely sit at the bar. 20 percent off was inadequate compensation for all of the trouble...

Normally, this place is 5 stars across the board, and I would definitely give them 5 stars for the sushi itself all around. I have been to Pisces dozens of times since they opened a few years ago and loved the sushi AND service every time my family and I have eaten there. This experience however, was not the same.

The server got our drinks out relatively quick, but it took at least 20 minutes to get our appetizers, and another 15 to get the actual sushi. It was not even that busy. I'm glad we didn't have a second round, because they seemed to prioritize their "To Go" orders before their in house customers.

Again, the sushi was great as expected, but the service was not. We also had our check ready for 15 minutes while 3 of the servers stood at the front chatting. We got tired of waiting and walked up to the front to have them ring us up.

I'll also add that their cheese stick appetizer was not good at all. My husband did not like the flavor, so we gave the other stick to our son to not waste food only to have them charge us for the sticks separately without talking with us.

Very very poor service, and not what I would have expected with all the great experiences I have had in the past. If you do choose to eat there, just do take out to avoid the terrible service. This is coming from a regular customer who will probably not be eating there...

This was my first time here and didnt know what to expect. First and foremost for me, the prices are good. Especially for individual rolls if you don't want AYCE. They're all $6-9.50. Secondly, the quality is fantastic. For me, the shrimp was the best out of everything else. The only things that put this in competition with sushi pier, ijji, or other spots is that the presentation of dishes or the restaurant isn't as modern as other places, but on par. Same goes for the restaurant. But the food and price make up for it. A good difference is that the lunch AYCE includes the whole menu, any number of appetizers as well. They also have cheaper AYCE options for kids under 12 and under 5, as shown in the pic. Oh and they also have good sushi to-go deals, but i haven't done that yet. I'm recommending to all my sushi friends. It's a great option for South Reno!

I liked this place so much I ate here twice in a row. The hallmark of good sushi is the rice and usually, all you can eat spots serve Americanized style sushi with poor rice quality. Not here. The rice is well vinegared and seasoned and nicely moist. The raw fish is fresh. There’s a pretty good selection of nigiri with options you might commonly find in Japan but less so in the USA—like raw scallop—so you are not only limited to the nauseating fried, avocado-ed or cream cheese westernized rolls. Though surprisingly, those are done well here. The best part is the super friendly and good vibes. Everyone on the staff, from waiters to the cooks, seem to be friends, joking around with one another while still being attentive to the customers and seem genuinely appreciative of your patronage.

This is a strip mall location so you are sharing your parking for this restaurant with all the other businesses. I had no problem parking here at 11:00 a.m. but I suspect by noon it is completely packed. Their namesake roll is absolutely delicious and probably the best roll they make. For nigiri, I particularly enjoyed the Mickey mouse. That included Cajun tuna, which had a unique flavor that I haven't tasted compared to the other Cajun tuna or fish recipes at other sushi restaurants. Everything else was just fine. Don't get me wrong, those two particular menu items were delicious. I heard that other people had issues with the service. I did not. I was polite and happy to be there and they were equally polite and on the ball which is great.
