I usually don't eat lunch, but last week it was a tough day at work and I was starving. It was already extremely hot outside so I decided to get a cool crisp vege avocado sandwich delivered for the first time.
My sandwich was 6.50 and with delivery charge and tip and tax, my order was 23.00 for a small sandwich. This was not port of subs fault, but is important in my review. It was worth the price, this one time because I really craved it.
I am allergic to onions so of course I said no onions. My sandwhich came halfway thru my lunch, covered in onions. I called port of subs to fix it and the girl said she cannot because they don't deliver. I was angry. This was my first time using delivery so yes, I was confused.
She refused to do anything to fix it so naturally I asked for a manager and she said she was the manager, so I asked for her manager and she gave me a number.
After calling it several times and getting hung up on, the number called me back. She was very nice and listened to me and stated she would have a sandwich out to me in 10 min, which she did. The other sandwich I already gave away.
When the new one was delivered she stated she needed the old one back. Never has this been requested for a food item before when something was wrong. So I went to my coworker and apologized and stated I needed the sandwich back. I gave her the sandwich and thanked her and went to finally eat with about 5 min left for lunch.
First bite and I open it up and my avocado vege has zero avocado. I reached out to the number that called me and nothing. I got no return call and no apology, nothing.
Although it was nice that she brought another sandwich, it's still a kick in the face that it was blatantly wrong. Who orders an avocado sandwich with no avocado.
Do I think it was on purpose? Not by the lady that brought it, but I am pretty sure when the store heard they had to redo my sandwhich, I am pretty sure it was on purpose and to have Iit wrong twice, I should have at least gotten an apology.
I still like port of subs but will never go anywhere near south meadows. The manager there that I spoke with was rude and uncaring and shouldn't be working with people. She should have tried to rectify the problem instead or argue that they don't deliver.
I ate my 23.00 lettuce and tomatoe sandwhich but it was really left wanting without the avocado. I thought it very nice she drove it out to me, but it's not right, that again it was wrong and after that I never heard from them again.
2 stars only for the effort of the women who delivered another sandwich and 2 stars for the store that did it wrong...
Read moreThis is one of the best Port of Subs & it’s in South Reno on S. Meadows. The servers are smiling, cordial & greets us out a smile. We always have a conversation as they’re making our sandwich or salad. The store is cleaned. The atmosphere is good & the service is always good. It is a pleasant place to sit & enjoy your meal. We take our daughter & her 2 kids for lunch there too. My husband is a Navy Veteran & they always remember to give him a discount for our lunch & thank him for his service. It’s the place in Reno that we frequent for a lunch sandwich or a salad & don’t forget the brownies & cookies! Yummy! There is one more reason why I love dining there: My husband became ill in the store & almost passed out. They stepped up to help my husband. They called an ambulance & got my husband over to Renown South Meadows & he got the care he needed. Now, when we go in they are like family & always ask my hubby how he’s doing! They are great human beings & they serve well. Visit & check...
