I have to begin by expressing my discontent that Estella changed ownership and no longer serves Mexican food. The tacos here were awesome and I really can’t understand why new ownership decided to change the concept completely while operating under the same name. It was certainly confusing to sit down and see that the menu was now Mediterranean. I understand that everything is change, but this one just didn’t make sense. Furthermore, it’s weird to me that they changed the food menu completely, but kept the bar menu the same, maintaining focus on margaritas and other Mexican style drinks. A side note on service…I’m kinda over this type of concept where you come into a place and are unsure if you are getting table service or have to order for yourself at the bar. They mention on the menu very small at the bottom that a server will come, but no one in the room really makes that clear…it would be nice if some one would warmly greet you, show you to a table, and explain how the service works. In my opinion, this is even more important since you changed the whole concept and regular customers may be unfamiliar with the new operation. After not receiving much attention and unsure of how to proceed, I went up to the bar to place my order only to be told that someone would come to the table. The server came over promptly after that and was cordial, but really they need to commit more clearly to table service or not…especially since a tip reflective of proper service is expected. Also, if this is the case then why do I need to get my own water for the table. Then when the food comes out and we don’t have cutleries I have to get up again to ask because clearly no one is paying attention to these basic elements of proper service. Then the food…which honestly was mid. The dolmas were not good…rice under cooked and grape leaves too hard and tough to chew. The rest of the food was serviceable, but nothing special really. Overall, the experience was underwhelming and exacerbated by the fact that this establishment used to be one of our favorite places in town for bomb taco and super heady cocktails in a...

This place is a little tricky to find for the new visitor to Reno but they had easy parking, great food and great drinks. We ordered the mushroom taco, al pastor, mariscos (fried fish) taco, and shrimp tostada to eat. They have an entire menu of different Mezcals. We had their "You love your neighbor" and "Dos Pollos" mixed Mezcal drinks. The Dos Pollos was very refreshing especially sitting in their patio at 9pm with it being 85 degrees. The You love your neighbor was more smoky and would be good in cooler weather or just as a stand-alone drink. We ordered 4 more Dos Pollos because they were just that good! Let's get back to the tacos... This is not a traditional taco place, so don't go there looking for traditional or cheap street tacos. This place reminded us of Tulum, MX because of vibe, drinks and food. These are non-traditional tacos and they are really good!!! Our favorite was the Smoked mushroom taco and then the Al Pastor. These are a must order if you visit Estella. The Smoked Mushroom taco is one of the best tacos I've ever had!!!! The Shrimp tostada was good but didn't compare to the shrimp tostadas we had in Tulum or the shrimp tostadas that my wife makes at home. The fish taco was also good but nothing special compared to the Mushroom or Al Pastor flavors. We went back in to order more Smoked Mushroom and Al Pastor tacos but they closed the kitchen 15 minutes before closing without giving us a last call. Needless to say, I was sad. We had wanted to try the carnitas taco but they were sold out. We had wanted to try the Horchata pie but they were sold out, so we settled for the Chile Mango pie which was just okay. We'll definitely visit Estellas again when we're back in Reno and make sure to order Smoked Mushroom and Al Pastor tacos. We'll also try their...

First of all the food was okay. The salad was overpriced and tasteless and the chips tasted like they came from a bag but the carnitas taco and the sauces were pretty good. HERES MY MAIN GRIPE I am a solo traveler and so securing a table while I go order is a challenge because someone might take my table because the m not leaving my bag or phone unattended. The issue I had was that I needed to use the restroom although wasn’t finished eating. I politely asked the server to watch my table until I returned. When I came back 5 minutes later my table was completely cleared. I went to the servers to ask why and understandably I was frustrated. They arrogantly retorted to me that it wasn’t their responsibility. I got pretty upset and they got in my face telling me I was inebriated which was true but that doesn’t excuse lousy service! Then they got some overweight oaf(sorry for the insult but I’m pretty hot at the moment)to intimidate me to leave which I admit at this point I needed to do . However I’m incensed that I was treated so terribly when I specifically, VERY POLITELY and specifically asked to NOT HAVE MY TABLE CLEARED. I had already tipped 20% on their tablet and I sure as hell expect my unfinished meal to NOT be taken away while I use the restroom and if a mistake has occurred TAKE CARE OF IT! It’s your GD job! BOTTOM LINE this establishment cares NOTHING for solo travelers so if you are solo don’t bother coming to this unbelievably...

Best brunch, lunch or dinner! I pretty much only do my brunches here now as they aren’t the traditional eggs and bacon, but of a spicier, more eclectic nature filled with surprise and delight for your weekend mornings. Beautiful patio in the summer, hanging vines, couches and the perfect amount of sunshine and shade. They also allow dogs and are super dog friendly, asking us if we wanted a water bowl for our pup! I love taking friends here and splitting the bottle of champagne for mimosas (great deal), and I miss their whole trout dish they had last summer. Will be stopping in again soon!

This place has the best coffee bar in town, and this is not something I say lightly. From their choice of roast to their sweetener to the foam on top, every part of every drink is perfectly balanced. The food is just as high quality. Their take on Huevos Rancheros is my new favorite way to eat it, their green salad is the most balanced flavor I've ever had with herbs, and they elevate the spice heat to a point of gentle physical involvement. Everything on offer here is beautifully curated, and this place is a "must stop" for us whenever we're downtown.
