You ever get the feeling when you walk in the door of a place you intend to eat at, that you made a BIG mistake? That's a feeling that if you get it, you should pay attention to it. I had done a bit of research before choosing this restaurant. It had good reviews, I was taking my sister out to celebrate a new job and was looking for some good Mexican food, as it's her favorite. Upon entering you could smell an overwhelming musty odor but I chose to overlook that because of the good reviews. We ordered Margaritas, she ordered a double but still needed an extra shot because it tasted like juice with no alcohol. Mine was a single and I couldn't taste anything but juice either. She ordered huevos rancheros and I ordered my the pollo en crema. I specifically asked to not have mushrooms because I can't eat them. 15 minutes after we ordered we were told they had no eggs and she needed to change her order. When the food finally arrived I was told that it wasn't possible to leave the mushrooms out of my dish as it was a pre-made sauce 😳 The waiter said "there aren't many mushrooms in there" anyway.... (there were 17 mushrooms and 6 really small pieces of chicken) I started removing the mushrooms and could see that the sauce was a really thick and odd color for a crema sauce. When I finally tasted it I could tell it wasn't a crema sauce at all. It was a cheese sauce. It was a really awful, cheap con queso 🤢 I still didn't complain but I decided I needed to talk to the waiter and explain that it wasn't something I could eat. I excused myself and went to find the bathroom and walked past the kitchen, I could see our waiter, who was the only person I had seen working since I walked in was also in the kitchen cooking... When I found the restroom both the stalls had zero toilet paper. That was kind of it for me. My night was ruined. I did ask for my food to be taken off the ticket and it was. I still paid over $60 for two people to be extremely disappointed. This is the very first negative review I've ever written. I hope this place gets it figured out and hopefully gets cleaned up and gets some help running it because I would love to have a good Mexican place to take family and friends in my...

First time dining at this restaurant, was disappointed that after being open for two hours on a Wednesday they were out of Chile Rellenos.
My friend ordered the fajitas which included onions and green peppers according to the menu. After beginning his meal he was suddenly running to the restroom. I looked at his plate and saw mushrooms in the fajitas, which he has a serious allergy to which causes him to vomit as soon as he eats it.
After he returned from the bathroom a server finally walked by and we explained what happened and asked if we could please have the item removed from the tab, intending to pay for the Chimichanga and Enchiladas ordered and eaten. The server said he would get the manager and speak to the chef because mushrooms are not supposed to be in the dish, removing the plate as he left.
The manager arrived and told us that he doesn't not believe us, however he looked through the dish himself and found no mushrooms and this type of mistake has happened ZERO times at his restaurant. I explained if he didn't see any mushrooms it's because my friend ate them all, that I did see mushrooms, and that he wouldn't be throwing up and having an allergic reaction if there were no mushrooms in the dish. The manager kept repeating he wasn't concerned about the money, and we explained we weren't either, we were concerned about the fact our friend had an allergic reaction, lost the entire contents of his stomach, and would now need to eat somewhere else after his stomach calmed down.
While we got the $13 fajitas removed from our tab, the manager was extremely condescending and manipulative. I will never be dining here again and will be telling everyone I know to avoid...

This was our first time visiting La Hacienda Santa Fe restaurant in Renton, WA. Upon arrival we were greeted by the super friendly staff, and immediately seated. A minute later, a basket of warm tortilla chips, salsa, and fresh pic o de gallo was brought over to our table, and our server Arturo handed us the menus. Everything in the menu looked great! After a couple of minutes, we decided for the Carne Asada, with a Chicken Quesadilla as the appetizer.
I ordered a Tamarindo Margarita out of curiosity, and it was awesome! It was so good, I had to have another one! :)
We were still enjoying the chips when the food was brought to our table. It was delicious! Best Carne Asada I've had here in WA. The chicken quesadilla was great as well, and huge! After dinner, we ordered the Churros for dessert. Soooo good!
The restaurant setting is very quaint, relaxing, and friendly. There was music always playing, but it was at the perfect volume - loud enough to be clear, but not so loud it was distracting. The service was Top Notch! From the moment we entered the restaurant, everyone there was extremely courteous and professional. Arturo, and the rest of the staff, truly made it a very pleasant experience.
I live in Kent, but I'll be coming back to la Hacienda Santa Fe in Renton every time I have a craving for amazing Mexican food in a very nice and friendly...
