Walked in and ordered a couple of pizzas on 1/7. Since it was before the Seahawks game, there were a considerable amount of people in line as well as waiting for their order. No big deal. I expected this and gladly waited for the pizza to be prepared while I stood. Once I got the pizza home (I live in Seattle), I immediately preheated my oven for 425 degrees and slid the first pizza in once the oven was ready. I like my pizzas a little on the well done side so I waited till the crust edges were a nice golden brown and the cheese starting to brown itself. Once I took it out is where everything fell apart...
I took out the pizza and lifted the bottom to ensure the crust was all the cooked. Once lifted I noticed that the bottom crust was still doughy and white, while the top was golden brown. I put the first pizza back in the oven to cook a little bit more, but was no use for if I left it any longer the top would be burnt. I figured it was a fluke and started cooking the other pizza. Same thing. Top dark brown, bottom white and doughy.
At this point I called the store to let them know and inquire about a refund (since I was not going to eat a doughy possibly raw pizza). After I asked to speak with a manager, I was told by her that they do not offer refunds per store policy and that I would have to bring the pizza in and they can remake it. Obviously, this is a ridiculous policy since I live in Seattle and would have to drive 30 minutes to Renton so that I can get a pizza remade and have to gamble that the issue won't reoccur, is putting a lot of the responsibility on the customer.
The manager (I believe her name is Lori) stood by the policy which at that point, I said it wasn't worth the time/effort and hung up. I truly like Papa Murphy's pizza and would order it against the suggestions of others, but at this point they have lost a customer simply due to horrible...
Read moreAlthough we used to enjoy eating Papa Murphy's Pizza, their service at the Renton location totally ssuck. This is the worst location we have ever been to. 2 times in a row, and that's on two separate visit to the Renton location, they messed up our pizza order.
Yes, they are not consistent with the way pizza is made and will make a mistake on your order and not say anything about it when you pick it up. The first time we couldn't go back to the store because we were at home and if we drove back to the Renton location, it would be closed by the time we would have gotten there.
On the second time, i couldn't believe they messed up my pizza order again! I walked back into the store, told them that they made a mistake by not adding and is missing a bunch of different toppings on my pizza.
The clerk making the pizzas literally started "arguing" with me saying that I was wrong. I showed him the actual pizza and the receipt to prove what I ordered and paid for, then he made a snippy comment and said that he will get his supervisor. Yes, I ordered and paid for a specialty pizza. They screwed it up and made a plain pizza a second time.
They made the mistake and instead of looking into it or even listening, they rather argue first then after they realize that they screwed up, run to the back of their store and call their supervisor.
I'm going back to Papa John's instead or to Pizza hut. I've had no problems there and with the bad experience at Papa Murphy's Renton, I won't go back to that location.
Stay away from this Renton location as they will literally treat you like a second...
Read moreToday, I ordered the half Hawaiian half pepperoni pizza, breadsticks, and cinnamon wheel. I've carried pizza on my motorcycle numerous times, but never Papa Murphy's. When the pizza is in a box, it has the aerodynamics of a brick and stays planted.
Today however, I discovered Papa Murphy's pizzas could function as an airplane wing and generate lift at approximately 45 mpg.
I immediately panic braked, losing my alcoholic drink in a cab from the bag on the left handlebar to the pavement, attempting not to lay the bike down as the rear wheel attempted to swing out from behind me. I picked the pizza, breadsticks, and cinnamon wheel up from the pavement, briefly contemplating whether I could rewrap them and fool my friends, or if the bits of rocks, oil, and coolant in the pizza would give me away, and headed back to the store.
To my surprise, the manager stated that this time only, they would remake my food for free. I tried to go to Fred Meyer and Chevron to get some cash as a tip, but Fred Meyer doesn't take Google Pay and Chevron wouldn't do cash back so I unfortunately couldn't.
Kudos to the manager and staff, I'm extremely loyal to businesses who go above and beyond, and if I'm ordering pizza an have an oven handy, Papa Murphy's will get my business EVERY time from now on. I told my friend about what happened and she feels the same.
For going a little bit above and beyond when they didn't have to, this manager and her staff earned the business of two occasional customers into two people who will exclusively buy Papa MurphsyM henceforth. Good work guys, and thanks for...
