Husband and 2 kids (aged 5 and 7) had a Friday night dinner here. Food was delicious. We were seated and served quickly. We had chips and guac as an app. While there is no childrens menu, they did offer items like fries, salchipapas (fries with hot dog slices), quesadillas, side of rice for them to choose. The kids chose the salchipapas and loved them. I tried the enchiladas verdes. The green tomatillo sauce was delicious and the chicken within was wonderfully seasoned. They had melted cheese on top. My husband enjoyed the grilled chicken with giant tostones, beans, salad, white rice. The place is nicely decorated with vines, flowers, birds, colorful traditional dia de los muertos decor. The kids and I really enjoyed the music and ambiance. They play top Latin: mexican/pop/regional music. And we got to witness a birthday celebration at a table nearby where the waiters and waitresses sang happy birthday and brought out mexican mariachi sombreros for the entire table. We had a couple of alcoholic beverages and they were tasty and garnished beautifully. I would like to return and try more of the drinks on the menu as they all sounded really delicious. We are Revere locals and were wonderfully surprised about the food, drinks, and service and will definitely return and let family and friends know about our experience.

I ordered Birria tacos with an extra taco, totaling $40. That wouldn’t have been an issue, except when I got home, excited to eat, I opened my meal to find just one tiny sauce container—barely filled—for four tacos. The sauce is the star of the dish, and I was shorted. Annoyed but still hungry, I decided to let it slide and just eat. Then, as I took a bite of my second taco, I felt something in my mouth—a hair. Sure enough, there was a freaking hair in my food. Disgusted, I called the restaurant, expecting a proper resolution. Instead, the manager told me the only option was a refund—but only if I drove all the way back with the food. No remake, no real apology. Just “bring it back” at 11 p.m., even though I live 20 minutes away. That’s unacceptable. I’m definitely disputing this charge with my bank.

Good Vibes, But a Bit Too Loud for Dinner Conversation The ambiance is pleasant, with stylish décor that adds a nice touch to the overall atmosphere. However, the music was extremely loud during our visit—almost club-level—which made it difficult to hold a conversation. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy lively music, but a slightly lower volume would make for a more balanced dining experience. Service can vary depending on who’s attending, and parking is limited to metered street spots, which can be a bit of a challenge. All in all, it’s a decent spot with potential. With a small adjustment to the volume, it could certainly make the experience better.

I really wanted to like this place. This was my first time coming here and definitely my LAST. I’ll start off by saying it was a beautiful atmosphere I really did love the vibes. I loved the live singer also. It was a very busy night I could tell. Especially because were a large party so I understand it would take a little longer than usual but to an extent. It took over 15 minutes to get a drink. No one ever came by to serve us water , DONT Expect complimentary chips and salsa like other places ( charged & didn’t even tell us ) We were served apps and had no plates. I had to ask 3 times. The waitress came literally just to take our order never came by to ask if we needed anything else or how everything was. We had to search for other servers or just kept walking up to the bar to get our own drinks. The real problem for us was when the waitress brought out the wrong plate to the wrong person and they realized they weren’t eating what they ordered. We asked to remake the other persons food and take back the other one and she said to keep it which no one ate it say at the table. When the bill came they still charged us for the plate so I went to speak to the manager lady with black hair and glasses. She was very unapologetic and didn’t want to take accountability for anything. The other waitress blonde lady with glasses was also there arguing with me about it not being their fault, they even try to offer a solution just kept going back and forth saying it’s not on them. They didn’t want to take accountability and said the plate still needed to be paid. As a server they need to be more mindful and responsible for their mistakes. They manager said we should’ve realized it was the wrong plate both plates came with vegetables and it was everyone’s first time there how would they know. After we made the payment we realized they charged 18% service charge on top and didn’t even tell us it was included. If you go pay attention to your receipts especially in bigger groups. The service is extremely poor, and slow. If you want BETTER FOOD & SERVICE go to LA HACIENDA in Revere or...

I came with my family to try something new and we were very disappointed. The music was good and the place actually is cute, it has nice decorations but unfortunately it has poor customer service. My daughter and I ordered water with lemon and the water tasted nasty so I had to order a soda instead. We ordered steak nachos as an appetizer and they were very good! My husband ordered fish tacos which were good as well! However, I ordered chicken fajitas and both of our kids ordered chicken quesadilla and the chicken tasted old… it had a rotten taste to it. We honestly could not eat it! It even smelled weird. The waiter that was taking care of us asked if everything was okay so I was honest and told him the chicken tasted very bad and old… he claimed the chicken was “delicious” but I had my husband taste it, in case it was just me & my husband also said it tasted weird. Waiter said he couldn’t do anything about it so I asked to speak with the person in charge, he then brought “Valentina” who claimed to be the manager - I explained the situation to her and she was not helpful at all, she made me feel like I was lying about the taste. According to her, she had just ate chicken and it was “good” - I told her, is not just me who thinks this, my husband and kids said it too, the chicken is not good. We kept going back and fourth about it because she wasn’t understanding that I did not want the meal. She then said she wasn’t going to take it off the bill, I told her that paying wasn’t a problem, it was just the fact that I’m letting her know that the chicken is not good. Point blank, they did nothing for us. We paid and left. I will NEVER go back to this place! I will NEVER recommend for anyone to go either. Horrible customer service and horrible experience. Very...

I have eaten twice now at La Cantina and both times I left disappointed. The first time I ordered the chicken chimichanga, which was actually quite good. I was disappointed by the guacamole, The flavor is spot on, but the consistency is off, it was very soupy. On that visit, I was more disappointed by the service and the quality for the price as the bill was over $120 for two people. We had ordered two margaritas, Guacamole appetizer, Two entrées, And dessert.

I decided to give them another try and this time I ordered the steak fajitas. I didn’t like the flavor or consistency of the meat, and it had been so heavily marinated that it looked more like pork than steak. It was very chewy and overcooked. There were also mushrooms in the fajita vegetables, which was not mentioned in the menu and I do not like mushrooms.

The server offered for me to get something else, and I opted for the pollo a la plancha. It was ok, the chicken and beans had good flavor but the rice was undercooked.

I was still charged for the fajitas despite sending them back, And although I wasn’t charged for the chicken, there was at least a $6 price difference between them. A 20% gratuity/service fee was added on to my bill automatically, which seemed odd, considering we were a table of two. This bill was 4 mojito moctails, cheese dip app, mole enchiladas, steak fajitas, and churros for desert and cost $130.

The atmosphere is phenomenal and they did a really great job on the decor. The flowers, greenery, and birds make you feel like you’re not in Revere. The projector and streaming for soccer games is also a great touch. I believe they also host mariachi on...
