Waitress Jill, horrible.

This was our first time ever in this location and we thought it'd be great for dinner. We arrived around 7 and noticed that it was packed. Luckily, we were seated right away. At first, our waitress Jill came to our table and put in our drinks and our son's food order. We then placed an order for 2 apps & asked for 2 sauces. She informed me there would be an extra cost, and i said that was fine. An hour later, we finally got our food. Between ordering our food and getting it, Jill came to our table twice, and that's because I called her over. She never once came to our table to get us refills of our drinks (without me asking). When our food was brought out, it was brought by another waitress. No sauces and no Jill in sight. We didn't see Jill again until she brought the check, which contained a charge for sauce. 15 min later when she came back, I advised that we did not receive any sauce. She took the check & went to correct it. When she came back. She stood there and told us that she would have appreciated it if we told her we had an issue when she checked on us. I advised that not once did she check on us while we had our food. She continued to tell us that we weren't her only customers. Not our problem and when that was told to her, she put the check down on the table and told us she hopes we never work in customer service and literally ran away. For the record, we do work in customer service. Both of us do...and no matter how many customers we deal with at any given time, it is not okay to give any of them half-a$$ service or attitude when we bring up an issue. I ended up having to find another employee to take my payment in order for us to leave. VERY unprofessional and apparently Jill shouldn't be working busy nights or even at all in customer service if she can't handle...

What a great spot in a great city.

Went in expecting decent pub food and ended up having one of those nights that reminds you why you love Boston. The crispy pork tacos were legit - not some fusion nonsense, just really well-executed. Cauliflower wings had actual flavor and weren't drowning in sauce trying to hide mediocre prep. Even the fries were done right, which sounds basic but you'd be surprised how many places screw that up.

What really got me was the vibe - everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there, staff included. The owner came by our table, not in that forced "how is everything" way, but actually sat down and we ended up talking for twenty minutes about everything from the neighborhood to travel. Real conversation with a real person who clearly gives a damn about his place.

Here's the kicker: I'm an idiot and left my purse and jacket there. Didn't realize until the next morning when I needed my license for travel. Sent a panic email figuring I was screwed since they don't open until 4pm. Owner emails back within an hour with his manager's number, manager drives over, gets my stuff, and delivers it to my hotel. Under an hour, total.

Mistakes happen and most places would tell you to come back when they're open. These guys treated it like they would if I was family. That's not customer service training - that's just decent people running a decent place.

Food's great, prices are fair, and they've got that neighborhood feel that's getting harder to find. Plus they'll bail you out when you do something stupid, apparently.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Murray’s Tavern, and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The ambiance was the perfect balance of cozy and lively, ideal for a night out with friends, a family dinner, or even just a solo meal to enjoy great food in a great space.

Speaking of great food every single dish I tried was absolutely phenomenal. The flavors were rich, fresh, and clearly crafted with care. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in delivering high-quality meals because everything was cooked to perfection. From the appetizers to the main course, every bite was packed with flavor, and the presentation was just as impressive as the taste.

What truly elevated my experience, though, was the outstanding service. Luna Murray, our server, was an absolute delight one of the most joyful and kind people I’ve ever met in the restaurant industry. She made us feel genuinely welcomed and went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed. Her energy was infectious, and you could tell she truly loves what she does. Attentive without being overbearing, she struck the perfect balance, making the experience feel effortless and enjoyable.

Overall, Murray’s Tavern exceeded all expectations, and I already know I’ll be coming back. If you’re looking for amazing food, top-tier service, and a fantastic atmosphere, this is the place to go. Can’t...
