Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Rexburg

I went in and the restaurant was maybe 50%. Waited a couple minutes and asked for a booth. The Hostess said she was just gonna go clean one up, I come by and she gives two options for tables, when there are two wide open booths. I asked and she said it was more convenient to seat me at the table right next to a open booth, But I say it’s fine then, I go and server Andrew starts very polite, but then it takes him 15 minutes to bring me my lemonade, and mind you I also asked for a water. But for the two old men in front of me he was super attentive but for me it took him 20 minutes to bring me a water. When I tell you he was on top of everything those men asked for he was but not for my simple water. I also asked how much is the Mac and cheese and he said like 2.50 or something, and I was like yea I’ll take it(Kraft mac and cheese tastes gormet compared to this) but it was really $4. But that’s fine I kept waiting, I waited about 40 minutes until my burger and cold fries arrived, and it took him 10 minutes to finally ask me if I wanted a refill on my drinks when they were both done. Then I finish my food and by the time on my last few bites he finally brings the refills. I finished at the same time as the two older gentleman, and to them he is apologetic and says sorry for the long waits and everything, but for me he comes in and just thank you. No hey sorry for the wait man nothing! This was absolutely horrendous, my first and definitely last time at an Applebees. I truly don’t understand why he treated me differently, because I had come from work and excersize tired and a little stain on my shirt? Or because I’m a young man? I truly don’t understand, I don’t want Andrew to get in trouble but I would like you all to treat everyone equally. Went there with another couple to get the bottomless wings deal. Three of the four of us got wings and we got sat there at 6:30. Our first group of wings came around 6:50 and it was great for the next for the next few plates coming around 10 minutes apart. On our 5th or 6th plate that we ordered around 7:30 they said they put it in for us and it would be right out. It wasn’t. There was only two of us still going and I looked around and they weren’t terribly busy. We got our final plate of wings around 9pm and keep in mind after your first plate they come in groups of four. They kept coming by acting surprised that we didn’t have our wings and that they didn’t know where they were. Eventually one plate was brought to us at 8:50 and was dropped off by someone other than our waitress. Before we could ask about the other plate the lady bolted away and we had to sit there until our waitress came back and realized we had only gotten one. She went back there and came back 20 minutes later with the last plate. So we had to wait an hour for four wings. It felt as if they were trying to wait us out and everyone but our server and the hostess was rude to us. The only thing they offered was a few extra wings on that last plate. This is my daughter's favorite place to eat she is 6 years old. We are from Idaho falls. We eat at The Idaho falls restaurant at least three times a month minimum and sometimes our order gets messed up and we expect that it's going to happen when we eat there so often but one thing that never happens is we never have a upsetting waiter or waitress in other words, our service is always on par This is our first time eating at the Rexburg Applebee's. I ordered the 6 oz stirloin steak. My steak was tough as hide I ordered it medium. Well the broccoli and the potatoes were on point but the steak was worthless. My daughter's mom or did the salmon which was really good. I took a bite of it and my daughter's food. The chicken strips were decent as well. Like I said we understand a estate to be tough. Once in a while it happens but the waiter that served us would say something in a immediately walk away and not give us a chance or even ask if we needed something are male took an hour and 15 minutes to come out and the restaurant was near empty they did Comp the steak which is okay but the waitress put us in such a bad mood that we will never eat there again. So our advice if you're looking for decent meal and don't care about the service, this is a good place to go. Put a few care about how people treat you. I wouldn't eat it...
