I am giving reviews as a dasher and as a customer. I love the food. It's fresh, delicious and I order from there everyday. The food is great, no doubt, customer service is incredible too. I have no problems with the food at all or the people who work there. They are always nice.
However, I have a problem with the dashing side of things and that's why they are losing 3 stars from me. Dashing is how I make extra money and is more important to me. But they seem to always start making the customer's food when you get there, this means that your wait time is extra long. And God bless you that the person working on doordash orders is slow that day. You may have to wait 10-15 minutes.
As dashers we use time to pick up and deliver orders. If I arrived at your store and you waste 10 minutes of my time, this jeopardizes my fast delivery score. Customers wouldn't blame the store, but they would blame me for slow delivery and give me poor ratings.
I believe the McDonald's system is better. They start preparing your delivery only when a dasher picks up the order. They have a way to keep the order hot. They don't wait until you arrive, stay on the line and wait till other customers order, then tell the person in charge the name of your order before they start preparing it. This is disastrous for dashers. Mind you, if there are 5 customers before you arrive at the store, you would have to wait for them to serve those 5 customers before they serve you.
Remember that doordash orders enter the screen first. And they are supposed to start the order before I arrive, instead of letting me wait till other customers are served. Wendy's in Yellowstone is the only fast food restaurant that does this. For this reason, I may stop picking orders from here if it doesn't change. 5 other dashers have complained too. You aren't serving me, you are serving the customer who ordered earlier before I arrived. I believe dashers should be given priority for the following reasons:
We ordered online first. As a dasher I am just there to pick the order up. Please try to meet the pickup time.
It used it be worse when we had to go through the drive through. But now that we have that resolved, please act like other stores and do the right thing.
We use time to deliver our order. Customers usually give us poor ratings if we don't deliver on time + there's a timer for us. So it's reasonable to set us up.
I am leaving this review because some of my reviews have changed things in other stores around Rexburg. I believe I am doing great for the majority of dashers out there. I will continue to accept orders for a few months and see the changes. I will update my review as time goes on. If there's a change, I will give 5 stars because this is a good place and I have no problems with the food...
Read moreI keep coming back! Not only for the good food, but because they have great customer service!
The first time I came to this specific Wendy’s (1117 S. Yellowstone Hwy, Rexburg, ID 83440), I thought “Why not just try them? I haven’t eaten at a Wendy’s for a while.” Well, I haven’t been disappointed and have been a repeat customer since! I’ve been in the drive-thru and I’ve been inside the restaurant. Both are handled well.
But I must speak about a very specific time on 10/8/22, 9:17am.
My Host was listed as “Carter” on my ticket (#10001) and I was pleased with what this young man did for me.
When I came up to the counter, instead of continuing to walk out into the lobby, Carter (as I will refer to him) returned to his post at the front counter to serve me. He could’ve walked by and let someone else do it. But nope, he responded correctly. Here’s his first good point.
When I looked at the swivel menus, I noticed they were still on lunch. I was hoping for breakfast items.
When I was having trouble making up my mind, he could see my confusion and he turned around. Once he saw what was wrong, he kindly turned the menus around to help me. His second good point. I also felt it was thoughtful because Carter had a broken arm and had to reach up to fix them, which couldn’t have been easy.
I gave my order and he did his best to keep up (I had quite a list that day!). Once I finished, he’d given me my cups and left to help with something. I took them but then realized there was some gunk on them. I asked for a blonde supervisor’s (or manager’s) help. She quickly responded. When I showed her the cups, she quickly fixed the issue and got me some new ones. Excellent!
I then waited for my meal. As I was waiting, I noticed that the lobby was clean. Tables, counters, benches, and stools were wiped free of food crumbs. I was happy with the cleanliness.
I didn’t use the restroom, so I can’t inform anyone of that.
Once my order was ready, I looked it over and noticed I was missing some syrup packets. I asked Carter for some and he obliged. Well done on three good points, Carter!
I also asked for a drink carrier, another gentleman crewmember helped me out.
When I was going out the door, this same gentleman noticed that I needed someone to hold the door open and he did. Splendid!
I only wished I could’ve had help carrying it out to my car. (But I didn’t ask, nor did I know if there was a policy against it, in order to protect their employees.)
So, over all, Wendy’s staff, you did brilliant!
Thank you and I will return...
Read moreSo after pulling up to the window asking if my food was made correctly... I was told to go park and they would get it taken care of... Strike one Strike 2 I'm met at the door by an employee with two bags of food okay what about my drinks?? Strike 3 I checked my son's Happy Meal and the fries were cold as well as the chicken nuggets. So they remake the fries and chicken nuggets for my son and I head home to hopefully enjoy my delicious custom-made big bacon classic. I get home to my surprise there's no bacon on my double big bacon classic no extra cheese that I paid to have on my burger. My wife's Dave's double was not made as I ordered it. No extra pickles. So I call up and I talked to the district manager Ray and mind you we have not had a single issue with this Wendy's since last year so talking with Ray I reminded him that he was supposed to send out free coupons from last year that we never got talk to him a second time we still never got them. So let's talk condescending right now because that's exactly how Ray spoke to me. First off he had the audacity to say oh it seems like you always have problems with your order here well make my food right and I won't have any issues... don't think I'm asking too much there then he says oh yeah that's why I took care of your meal in the Drive-Thru back in February. Because you lost the coupons or whatever happened each time I submitted an email to corporate to send them to you. Okay first off I never got them and I never got them the second time and to this date they have never showed up... Second I don't need your coupons I don't need your charity or your condescending opinion. So for these reasons and all the problems that we've had in the past that only got resolved one time out of many mistakes I have no choice but to post this review with regrets on having to be so negative but if you're in a customer service field especially a district manager maybe you should be less judgmental and a little more helpful when your...
