Dickey's Barbecue Pit — Restaurant in Richardson

I ordered 1/2 pound of chicken breast to go, with no sides. Every Dickies provides barbecue sauce on the side. The girl was going to give me one tiny little plastic cup for all that chicken, so I asked if I could please have it in one of the containers that sides come in like every other dickies gives me. She said that will be an extra $1. I told her that would be fine as I wasn’t going to argue over $1. I asked if they provide pickles and onions like the other ones and she said yes they put them in a plastic bag for you. I asked if she could please not put them together because I’ll be eating it later & I don’t want the onions to be soggy. I was the only 1 in the restaurant at the time and the guy dishing up the food heard me. She agreed and said oh yes, we’re not going to do that and he looked right at me. He hands her something and she puts it in the bag looks at it and then staples my bag of food likely so I wouldn’t look in the bag until I got home. When I got home I saw they did just throw pickles and onions in one plastic bag and when I say there was barely any onions I literally probably didn’t have enough to fill a tablespoon. I decided to weigh the meat. I’ve never done that before, but I thought I’m going to see. And guess what? I didn’t get a half a pound of meat that I paid for either. They gave me 7 ounces. Ordered our Cheistmas Eve family dinner here and arrived to pick up the food to not only walk into an establishment that reeked of cleaner, but had dead crickets crunched on the floor. We received our order and thank goodness we check it because multiple items were missing. When we brought this to the attention of the woman working, she and the man argued with us. The Okra for a family of 6-8 (XL pack) was litetally, and yes I count 32 small Okras... so what every person only gets 4?! Instead of fulfilling what we were missing, they made us order more food and said they would give us what we were missing with a new order. So we did and we still never got what we ordered!! We spent over $300 at this location! And still do not have what we ordered! We got so frustrated that we gave up and left. DO NOT, I repeat. DO NOT give this location your business. You will be scammed and Nickle and dimed. I am beyond embarrassed to arrive at my family Christmas with the food that we obtained, the miniscule portions and missing items. Never thought I'd be upselled at a restaurant in America, but I thought I'd give it a chance because it's halal.

Biggest mistake of my life EVER.

Short story: less than warm food, missing sides, and wife has been throwing up ever since eating this substance called food.

A $15 order became $44. They refused to allow us to order what we wanted, but we gave it a pass as we wanted to try it. Big mistake. Sandwich was less than warm, but I gave it a pass for being halal.

We took a box to go despite wanting a half pound, but we accepted an upsell of a 3/4 pound. We wanted to support for being halal. Mistake.

I asked for macaroni 4x through the visit. Guess what was missing? Yep. The macaroni.

To top it off, wife has thrown up twice, and it's only been a few hours since our visit. What was in the food today? I really want to know.

We're definitely not coming back. We had high hopes for a halal restaurant and accepted the undesired upsell of $30 extra and even missing macaroni and less than room temperature meat, but wife throwing up twice in less than 3 hours? Yeah no. Absolutely unacceptable. Never...
