it is going to be a long review so i am going to review the food first we ordered a chicken shawarma plate when they first opened up was not big fan as it was extremally dry and bland but decided to give it another try ordering Ifar box include ( dates, water , hummus, 3 dolmas, kibbeh, lenteil soup , salad , mixed pickles , kataif and main dish ) for 16.99 other people will rather pay 20 and go for a buffet but honestly i do believe the box was a good deal until it WAS NOT ! I end up getting the rotisserie chicken which was really GOOD juicy and crispy yet not burn and the not over power with the spices. the Muhammara bread , kibbeh and kataif were all really good !
the rice was not fully cook i could not eat it , dolmas were dry and teste less
would i wanna go back there definitely not unless u like to be yelled and scream at !
so i placed my order over the phone i ask for a chicken over rice i did not say Shawarma. and I asked for the muhammara bread because that a must in Syrian cuisine with the ( Farooj ) and one pc of falafel to try it which there were Kind to add. I told them will pick up at 7pm. my husband arrived almost 7:20 and the food was not ready. that is fine will have it hot and fresh then ! so he received the order to find out there was shawarma instead of half chicken, so he went back to replace it the guy argue with him for a bit but he did replace the order. then my husband had to go back again for a SCOEND time causes they did not add the bread then he had to go back for the THIRD time because he found out they DID NOT ADD another items ( soup, pickles , water and the second pc of kataif causes that wt should be included based on their advertising ) and the guy was like SO WHAT IS NOT A BIG DEAL !! and he started YELLING AT MY HUSBAND !! AND THREATING TO FIRE SOMEONE !!! he create unnecessary drama with him shouting and screaming in Arabic a language my husband do not understand. it was very uncomfortable situation. eventually one of the owner came and calm down the situation. my husband went back the second day to make sure that guy did not got fired because of course he does not wanna be responsible for someone losing their job .
any way, i wont go back to a place they have zero respect to costumers and do not won up to their mistake and instead of building a clients relationship they insulting them
Read moreI’m no shawarma expert, but this place just didn’t do it for me. The chicken shawarma was quite bland and tasted almost like plain rotisserie chicken. To make it taste better, I had to add sauce to every bite, which ran out fairly quickly. The service was meh. They’ll ask you what toppings you want but not tell you what costs extra- paid an extra dollar for cheese which is no big deal but it always bothers me when places do this. They also could’ve been a bit friendlier. Id say their two redeeming factors were the environment which was pretty cool and their portion size. I was really excited to try this place, especially after seeing so many positive reviews online, but safe to say it fell short of expectations. Overall, I think there’s way better shawarma options in the Dallas area at a similar price point, but definitely don’t let this review deter you from...
Read moreWhen I discover that a Middle Eastern person owns a restaurant, I typically expect good food. However, when I find out that the restaurant is owned by Syrians, my expectations soar. One term that comes to mind in this context is "Mdumus," which refers to the process of marinating chicken or lamb for 24 hours before cooking. Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. My son advised me not to trust the paid bloggers on TikTok, and I have to agree with him. I asked him to taste the Chicken Golden Shawarma I ordered, and it was so unappetizing that it made him lose his appetite.
The reason I am writing this review is that the owners clearly have the skills to make great food, yet they chose not to. I am truly...
