I’ve been counting down the days until this lease ends… I was going to wait until I moved out to leave my review, but I can’t keep this to myself anymore.
First of all, the parking is horrendous. It’s first come first serve and you will absolutely struggle to find a parking spot any time past 8pm, earlier on weekends. I have been aware from the beginning that this is stated in the lease agreement, but I did not anticipate for this to be such a serious issue. I’ve had to park on the far opposite side of the parking lot more times than I can count. If the lot is full then you’re forced to park at the Hampton and walk all the way to the property. I’ve had at least three times where I came home late from work or otherwise and had to sleep in my car in a handicap spot because I was too exhausted or uncomfortable walking from the far end of the hotel parking lot late at night and was scared to get my car towed. I’ve parked on the curbs that are not fire lanes to avoid this and have been met with a sticker on my car the next morning saying they will tow me if I do it again. Management has told me that there’s nothing they can do about the situation, and that if I feel unsafe walking from the hotel, I should call the police. How does that make any sense?? I have evidence of this statement. I have an extremely physically demanding job where I come home late; if this you then don’t lease here. You’ll be miserable!
It’s highly inconvenient for your guests as well. I was told that the phone at the entrance of our building could be used to allow guests access without having to walk down and bring them in. That phone has not been functioning once since I moved here.
The elevator is broken at least once a week, if not more. When my roommate and I moved here, the elevator was out for more than three months! We had to lug all of our stuff up to the fourth floor ourselves - this was BEFORE they gave specific hours that maintenance could help you carry stuff up. Management never notifies you when the elevators are down, you have to find out for yourself when you are leaving the building. Rushing out and then finding out that it’s broken is extremely irritating. I’d at least appreciate an email being sent out with an estimate for when it will be fixed. I’m sure they never do this because they never have an estimate. I feel so horrible for the people with mobility issues that have to walk up and down flights of stairs because of this, I’ve witnessed it for myself.
Even with utilities being included, the property being pretty clean, and other residents being very kind, living here is absolutely not worth it. As residents, I wholeheartedly believe that compensation should be given to us for all these inconveniences, but I already know that they wouldn’t be willing to do this. I’ve asked. I have even reached out to the management company of the property - RCMI - with these inconveniences; they have done absolutely nothing and I haven’t received a response back since.
I really hate this place, I knew within a couple months that I absolutely would not be renewing my lease. The amount of mental breakdowns I’ve had living here is insane. I guarantee you these issues will not be resolved for the foreseeable future. Unless you have absolutely no choice, just look for another place. Leasing here is horrible, and I wouldn’t even book a single night here as a hotel guest if you’re going to be arriving back after 8pm or you don’t plan on doing ride share like...
Read moreTo anyone looking for a furnished corporate apartment in the Richardson area,
If you're reading this review and you need a furnished temporary place to stay that is clean and safe this is your place. WaterWalk is a small boutique corporate complex in the quiet business Richardson area with a hotel feel in the lobby and where someone always on duty. You are notified when an Amazon etc pkg is delivered (nothing left in the hallways) and because so many of their residents are there for weeks at a time there isn't a transient hotel vibe. Instead it's a small community of business professionals supported with gracious staff happy to assist you or just ask how you're doing after a long day. We've not only given them a glowing review to the relocation company that set up the reservation but we've also recommend WaterWalk to our realtors because they are that good. I'd like to take a minute and say how grateful my family and myself are to the staff at WaterWalk corporate apartments. We came to them through a company relocation and from the moment we arrived we felt immensely content and looked-after. The front desk concierge staff (Khaoula, David, Isabelli, Nathalia, and Octzia) were always welcoming, showed great attention to detail and communicated what they could do to help us in each situation. Each one was skilled at anticipating what are needs might have been (my husband loved the coffee bar) and went out of their way to help him when needed. The ladies with housekeeping, who came once a week as part of our rental, were always on time, very quick, through, and did little things to make our corporate apt feel like home and not just temporary housing. Even the maintenance guys were available at a moments notice to switch out a soft mattress with a firmer one when we needed it. The last best part was working with Wendy and Renea from upper management. I cannot thank them enough for helping us (multiple times) as we navigated moving from Austin to Dallas which included waiting on the sale of our previous home and subsequent purchasing/closing on our new house in Dallas. We had some bumps along the way, and they were so kind though it all. Our stay was changed/extended several times and each time they made sure we didn't have to pack up and leave until we closed on the new house...they made sure we had a place to stay for a full three months. Renea and Wendy treated us with care and compassion during a very stressful time and it ment the world to us. The day we left was bittersweet, we were excited to move to our new home, but we will miss an amazing group of caring individuals. Kudos to whomever put this team...
Read moreRenea, the manager of this location is absolutely horrible. My fiance spoke with them her to get pricing on a 2 bedroom extended stay and this was Thursday May 16, 2024. We also was waiting on the answer from apartments to verify if we needed the extended stay so we setup a tour for Monday, May 20, 2024 but was unable to make it due to personal reasons. He then went up there to tour the location on Tuesday, May 21st, and they stated that pets were okay. My fiance came home to tell me about the location and we decided to go with them and Renea called back Tuesday before we was able to reach out to verify if we found accomodations for our pet. We stated that they was supposed to follow up with us about the pet policy and Renea stated "oh no, your dog can't come". We stated okay and found a place for our baby to stay until we were able to leave the location and came in Wednesday May 22nd to reserve a place and they went off on my fiance while I was on the phone recording. I called the front desk to verify why they were being so rude to him and what he did, they refused service to us and didn't want to answer a thing. Once my fiance went back in to verify why they were refusing service, Valor stated because I asked why they were being so rude to us. At that same time, Renea walks out to state that she has already explained why she was refusing service and that he was now trespassing on the property so they will have to call the police. They treated my fiance VERY unprofessional and once we asked for Corporates number, Valor stated she does not know it and put me on hold to get Renea's number. When I stated that was the wrong number, they then stated that they don't have a corporate office so no number to provide and released the call. Very unprofessional and will find a way to report the workers up there because no human should be treated the way they treated us. They also had the nerve to ask why we needed to move in the first place, did we not pay rent at our previous location or have problems there to where we got kicked out. They racially profiled us and made it a point to no provide service to us due to us not reserving a room when they wanted us too.||It's not called Water walk any longer, it's called Parks Residential and I would not recommend them off of customer service, the place itself are beautiful but the ugly personalities that work there will...
