I wasn’t going to write this review bc the first Incident was addressed already. I decided to write it after the director of housekeeping BEAT on my door today, I even had the do not disturb sign on the door. I thought she coming to apologize for the first incident, but she wasn't. She had a bad attitude and was extremely rude from the moment I opened the door. She didn’t ask me anything, She stared off by saying she was the director of housekeeping, then proceeded to tell me that she was going to charge me a late fee and extra night because it was past 1 o'clock. She told me if I was going to extend my stay I needed to go downstairs right now and pay. Her tone and approach was not professional nor needed. Mind you, I already went down stairs and extended my stay before 12 o'clock. She could have politely asked me if had extend stay, and I would have replied yes. Instead she was beyond rude and aggressive maybe she was upset because of the mistake her employee made two days prior, and mad I complained about it. The other option would have been to call the front desk and check instead of disturbing me, because this is the fourth time I extended my stay.
(I live in Oregon and I'm getting treatment in Dallas. While I'm waiting for my place to get ready I'm staying at this hotel, hence the reason I keep extending my stay. I don’t want to be stressed out anymore than I already am, and I have been very stressed especially after the rude housekeeping director BEAT on the door.
A couple days ago I extended my stay for the third time and there was an issue, this was the first incident. I asked the front desk to have housekeeping fully clean my room because they haven't cleaned it since I’ve been here. The first two times I extended my stay housekeeping didn't even come to my room, and I was there all day.
I was told that they would inform housekeeping and have the room fully cleaned. This time I had to leave the hotel. When I returned I was surprisingly shocked on how well they cleaned the room. I walked in the room and look around and noticed all of my belongings were missing. Turns out housekeeping put everything in lost and found, and trashed my food. My headphones were damaged, along with two of my suitcases. My C power adapter for my iPhone detached itself from my USB cable and ran away. The cable was damaged already, so that was left in a bag in the lost and found. My slippers and clippers were also missing in the end. When you see someone's belongings still in the room, why not go check downstairs and see if they extended their stay!
When I went downstairs and told the the front desk employees, they were beyond exceptional, apologetic and accommodating. They were the ones that checked and found my things in the lost and found. I was giving a $30 voucher for food and beverages for the inconvenience. They told me the the hotel manger would call me the next day about the missing and damaged items. He didn't call. I had to go downstairs the next day and request to talk to him. When I spoke to the manger he was very apologetic as well. At first he said his GM could not do anything more, but give me a another food voucher because they checked the cameras and didn’t see her carry any of those items out, the room was completely empty. She definitely carried ALL of those things out, that’s how most of my things ended up in lost and found. It wasn't until I told him my next step was to file a police report because some of my things were still missing and other things are damaged. Then he said he was able to replace my adapter, but not the slippers or clippers. I ended agreeing to getting one night free and another $30 voucher for food. I was content with that. Today the manger of the housekeepers BEAT on my door, disturbing me, while having an attitude. (this entire review is solely because of her actions) This is by far the worst experience Ive had at a Hilton hotel, let...
Read moreGreat hotel if you like camping unprepared. When I go camping I bring water and shovel so I don't have to sleep with my own waste.
I booked this hotel because I'm a woman and unfamiliar with the area and this was the most expensive and the reviews seemed okay. When I arrived a young, meek and listless woman was manning the front desk. I had been ogled in the parking lot by some sketch looking guy, there were a pack of 20 young boys terrorizing the lobby uninterrupted, and I saw no other staff except the busy bartender. The whole place felt cavernous and cheap, even though there were many people around. Not at all welcoming. Bad sign. My hackles were up.
The lanky haired front desk clerk didn't tell me that when I got to my room there would be no water up there. So I had to head back down, after waiting forever for an elevator packed with 20 rowdy young boys who were playing fun with elevators, 15 floors to get some water.
The products in the room were: shampoo, conditioner, and bar soap. Adequate, but hardly customer friendly. The fridge didn't work.
Next to my bed was a large, shockingly loud vent, which spewed dust all over me while I watched tv or slept... or I could just leave the heat off.
The next night I nearly checked out but I was so so tired I didn't have the energy. That's unfortunate because the running water went out. At 8 I went to take a shower. No water. The front desk person said it was out throughout the building. She didn't know anything else, but would call me when she heard anything. No shower. No toilet. No water for brushing my teeth or rinsing, or washing my face, etc. Thank goodness I had retrieved some bottled water for minimum stuff. Two hours after I discovered the water situation (who knows when it began) I called back and the front desk still couldn't provide any information. I told them since it was 10pm please take me off the "call" list because I was now going to bed. Showerless. Make up on my face, etc.
I awoke with a pimple.
I checked the water. A very, very, very mild trickle. Not at all enough water for a shower, unless you are a cockroach, and even then you'd complain about the low-flow filter that must be preventing a full gush.
At this point I called around and booked another hotel, ready and waiting for me with hot water. It was 6am. I packed up and left. As I exited my room there was a letter on the floor outside. Not inside, outside. So you get it as you are already leaving. I think to myself, "oh, here is the explanation, the information on when there will be water, and apologies, obviously." Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. On all three counts. This letter informed me that the boiler was acting up and so if I wanted hot water I would have to let my water run for a while to get it. If I did have water that would be nice to know BEFORE I left my room, but irrelevant, since...I didn't have any water!!!!
I arrived at the lobby and informed them I was checking out and would they please cancel my booking for the rest of the week and I am not paying for last night.
The manager overheard me and came over and disputed whether I indeed had water the night before. He said the water had only JUST gone out. When I acted shocked he said I wasn't listening to him so he wasn't going to discuss it with me. He was so rude, I have just never in all my life...
I said, "well, now I can see why this place is terrible. You are the manager." Mic drop.
The Hampton Inn down the road is wonderful. And cheaper. And they gave me a room at 6:30am and a hot, complimentary...
Read moreI flew in from Boston for a week-long business trip. Arrived around 5 pm and my suite was not ready and it had not been cleaned. Was given a $30 voucher and was told to wait at the bar so I could wait another hour for my room to be ready. The room was not very functional. There was no clothes drawer and the closet to hang clothes was so small that it would only hold doll dresses. No microwave or fridge. The shower area had no place to put shampoo, soap or hang towels. The bar area had fruit flies and most of the staff were unfriendly.
Upon checking out, my hotel statement had some mischarges on it from the bar that was paid on my personal credit card separately. The front desk person refunded the amount on my hotel billing statement and provided a paper copy. I asked her to email me an electronic copy before checking out. She was too busy laughing at videos on her phone and I had to ask a second time. She then sent me the electronic copy but it was still not right.
As this point, there was a shift change and the unpleasant front desk person who was too busy looking at her phone had already left. A new front desk person tried to help and explained that the previous employee did not do the refund transaction right. She then called the manager who had not arrived for work yet. She explained that the manager was on her way to the hotel but I explained I could not wait as I had a plane to catch. The employee said that the manager would correct the billing statement and I that I would be sent an electronic copy.
Later that day, I received the SAME electronic hotel statement with no corrections. As it was the end of the day Friday and I was exhausted from my travels, I waited until Monday to call the hotel. At this point, there was a $250 credit from the hotel, which I assumed was to make up for the poor service. I spoke with the manager, and she had no idea why my corporate business card had been credited. I explained I need all charges to be on the hotel receipt as I need to file an expense report with my company.
She updated the receipt and sent it electronically, but the credit was not under the credit section of the receipt but listed under the charges. The refund for the erroneous bar charges also was not on the hotel statement. She explained that there was no way for her to list the two itemized bar refunds on the hotel receipt. I explained that I was very dissatisfied. If your corporation's billing system is incapable of properly invoicing your clientele or if your employees are not properly trained to process accurate receipts, then you have a serious problem.
You guys get a big fat "F." I definitely will not be using this hotel on my next business trip to Dallas and made sure that my corporate travel/booking agency was made aware of these unnecessary...
