This place is a nice local joint for Peruvian classics.
Upon walking in, your nose captivated by the delicious scent of wonderful food. The atmosphere has a nice casual feel to it, and the friendly service there closely echoes that.
As for the food, just about everything here is beyond spectacular. From the juicy saltado beef to the tart refreshing sashimi-like ceviche, everything here has extraordinary flavor. Those two items above have so much exceptional (amazing) flavor that they linger on the palate long after the meal. Everything is just prepared with incredible skill. For example, the noodle dishes there manage to have prominent wok hay flavor in them--something which many Chinese restaurants can't even do right. Their onions on the side are wonderfully infused lime, and offer a refreshing compliment to the rich meat in a meal. Another dish of particular quality is the Aji de Gallina. Somehow, they've managed to turn a humble chicken into a luscious, rich, and creamy yellow sauced piece of perfection; all enveloping potatoes and rice on the bottom. The bread they make in house is wonderfully artisan-flaky on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The tamales, relleno, and empanadas are also tasty.
Although the prices look high at first glance, the portions here are generously large. It's excellent value, so don't let that be the reason you don't try this place out.
Overall, it's a place of relaxation. It's somewhere that one can enjoy great Peruvian...

If you have never had Peruvian food, well... it's not to late! The servers here will do their best to aid you with the menu, or find someone who can. Their recommendations are excellent for beginners, and solid for experienced eaters of Peruvian cuisine that just don't know the items on the menu.
The empanadas, and papa rellena are great starters (ask for the green sauce especially on the chicken dang those were good). We got one chicken and one beef empanada and they would have been enough for the four of us, but the papa rellena sounded good so we got it too and a pork tamale.
I got the Arroz Chaufa de Carne (beef fried rice) and added some of their amazing green sauce, it was absolute heaven. That may just be the best fried rice I've ever had. My wife got the goat with beans, and was thoroughly impressed, which is saying something as she doesn't care for beans. We got the boy Lomo Saltado and it was savory and delicious. My daughter got Tallarines Verde con Bistec which is a lovely pesto pasta with steak, it's not an Italian pesto, but delicious none the less.
We split an anise cookie for desert, it was thick, and not overpowering with the licorice flavor, it made a nice end to the meal.
Also if you are a soda person Inca Kola is the...
Read moreAs a peruvian couple ourselves, we went to try out their Chupe de Camarones with fish, and their Seafood Cau Cau today for Mother's Day. Firstly, a Chupe is a soup mixed with a bit of milk at the end and with an egg mixed and cooked in the soup itself. This "chupe" came out green and with a fried egg. That is not traditional. It seems as if they added Ocopa to it. If this is a personal recipe, an annotation must be written below the name of the plate to know what to expect. The Seafood Cau Cau should've had a better variety of seafood except it only had 2 things. No shrimp or choritos, etc like in an Arroz con Mariscos. At the same time, it took 25 minutes after asking for a second beer to be brought to the table. In terms of food, the soup came out quick, yet the Cau Cau took an hour after the soup. Lastly, we attempted their Mazamorra and Arroz con Leche. Mazamorra needs more purple corn concentrate as it's too light in flavor and color. The Arroz con Leche is alright. I sincerely hope they can improve on their recipes or be more clear on the menu, so there are no surprises. At the same time, if a plate is gonna take a while to come out, all main entrées must come out together and not leave a guest on a table waiting while the other is...
