I will preface my review by saying that typically, I do experience five-stars with Five Guys, but my most recent visit was less than stellar for a couple reasons.
First, I ordered through the website because I was in a hurry, and I wanted to have the food ready to go when I got there, so I didn't need to wait about 10 minutes for burger to cook. Despite the site saying my order was ready, when I got there, the burger was ready to go, but the fries hadn't even been put down in the fryer yet, which meant I had to wait 10 minutes anyway for my food. This was really frustrating since you shouldn't have to wait on fries. That's poor planning on the crew's part.
Second, I ordered a "lettuce-wrapped burger" because I have to avoid wheat at the moment due to an elimination diet I'm currently on. I was excited when I saw that they had that as an option vs. just putting lettuce with the patty. Cue my disappointment when I opened up my tin with my patty to find it sitting on basically a salad (bunch of chopped lettuce). I was really hoping to be able to pick up my patty with the lettuce and eat like you typically do with a burger, but instead, I had to eat it with a fork--not the experience I was hoping for nor what was advertised.
Overall, it was still good and I loved the grilled jalapenos I got on the burger and the fries were delish. But I was extremely disappointed by the lack of planning, which caused me to get to my destination late and that they advertise a "lettuce-wrapped" burger but...
Read moreThis is our second time eating Five Guys. Even tho we live less than a seven minute drive tops we've just never tried them mainly I think because there's no drive thru. But we follow BeardMeatsFood out of the UK on youtube and he raves about Five Guys and eats their food often, so much so they really need to name something after him lol. Anyway because of his high praise we finally decided to give them a try and we did delivery both times. First time we had no clue that a cheeseburger meant a huge dbl pattie. Nor did we realize a med sized ff meant a huge basket of ff. So of course our first time we were stuffed yet very satisfied. The second go around we were wiser and got the 'small' cheeseburger and not really so small and a small ff also not so small, if fact both were very nice portions if you're a big eater. Tried the hot dog and it was fabulous!! Now that I would've like a bit bigger. I love how we can dress our own burgers/sandwiches/dogs at no added cost except a few items add a dollar. My one and only issue is, with this nasty virus running amok I wish Five Guys would stop literally throwing the ff in on top of everything else. Both times the ff have been all over the wrapped foods kind of defeating the whole "keep safe" concept. Otherwise. Five Guys is awesome. Delivery was contactless and very efficient both times. Overall a very...

Second time to Five Guys. Same opinion both times. Good food ( not exceptional from a taste or presentation standpoint) Here it is explained.
Ordered a bacon cheese burger. Added toppings. Meat was fresh as advertised and good tasting. Cheese was American Cheese. Real cheese would be a better choice and more appreciated for the pricepoint. The burger was wrapped in foil paper. Again, for the pricepoint I think it should have a clamshell to keep it fresh and not soggy or smashed. Also ordered a regular fries. They put my fries in the bag and then added a bunch more. A nice gesture. The fries were very good, especially for fresh cut. Compare them with IN 'N OUT Burgers and you will know what I mean. IN 'N OUT fries are grease saturated and soggy. These were great (5 stars). The burger and regular fries was just under 13 dollars. For this reason it does not deserve 5 stars. Wendy's also uses fresh, never frozen beef, and they are half the price.
Overall impression: Good burger (not outstanding) great fries but high pricing. I might eat here again but am not in any hurry. There are lots of other...
