I have thought long and hard about posting this. I honestly debated on just going to the liquor board and reporting them or the BBB because this is absolutely insane, disgusting, and ethically monstrous. I had gone to this place with some friends for a birthday party. I had ordered two of the most expensive bottles of Saki because I wanted my friends to taste Saki for the first time and to have some of the better ones. The first bottle was the real thing. The second bottle I immediately knew was faked. They had replaced Top Shelf Saki with cooking Saki and were attempting to pass it off. I immediately went to the bar and spoke to the waiter; I told him what he gave us was not the bottle I was charged for. He agreed. He said he was ordered to switch bottles by the manager. I spoke with the manager. She said that the bottle given to me was alike item and was sent out. 2 issues here. It is illegal to switch out alcohol and claim its the original. You cannot give "like alcohol or similar alcohol" without telling the individual about this. I would understand this, but they switched out top shelf for bottom shelf and were never going to tell me. I confronted the (i didnt know it was the manager) and explained they were in breach of the liquor laws, and she agreed. What was done was illegal and she apologized. She claimed the distributer claimed it was a like item. I told her that the distributor lied to you or you're lying to me after being caught. I introduced her to my Asian wife and explained to her that I lived in Japan and also ran a bar in my off time and understood the finer parts of Saki. Caught in their lie they refunded the difference in bottles to me. (Yes it gets worse.) So, I noticed an upcharge of fried rice on the entire tables bill. I asked if anyone was asked if they wanted the upcharge. Only one person was asked. Mind you the table was multiple different groups. So, the first person asked said yes and so the server gave everyone the upcharge without asking. While it's a small charge when you have a large table and done multiple times which is being done, they are slowly fleecing people without permission. (Yes it gets worse) My wife and I stepped outside after paying our bill and my wife realized she forgot her to-go plate on the table. We came in and the servers claimed they cleaned the table, and everything was tossed in the garbage bin. At this point I was rather annoyed and upset and wished to speak with the manager. I found it was the lady that tried to switch bottles on me. I explained what happened. She asked the two servers who cleaned the table. Both workers denied doing it. So, nobody fessed up to clearing the tables and throwing away the food. Other than everything was tossed out. The manager went in the back room and came back with my wife's to-go box. I asked her if she just took it out of the garbage bin behind the door there. (she appeared to panic a bit) then promised us that this box was put in a safe spot most likely one of the waiters were going to take it home themselves. I didn't believe it. I just left. I did not want to cause any issues as it was my friends' birthday and didn't want to alert them to this nonsense.
After experiencing this I was shocked and absolutely disgusted. From the business ethics to the service. I'm honestly done with this place and will never go back. I am only writing this to warn others. Beware the shady stuff in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was the most worst experience we have ever had here!
So we come here ALOT. We usually request a server but we havenāt had one weāve liked since Dave. Tonight was my manās birthday. We had 14 people with us. Eight being children. (I know. A lot of kids but itās a bday) so we got there for our reservation at 6:30. We waited 40 minutes to be sat. Normally expected. We sat down ordered our drinks and food immediately. Our server was very rude right off the bat seemed like she didnāt have time for us, so we ordered drinks and food immediately to help her out. It took us 40 minutes to get our drinks! Just our drinks. Half of us being children and babies and moms drinking ice tea or soda. Thatās INSANE. BUT I brush it off and say whatever. Maybe itāll get better. But it didnāt . In a bad way. Finally our cook comes out but isnāt fully prepared for our order because as heās cooking we realize we are missing 3 sides of RICE and 1 side of VEGGIES. OKAY WHATEVER. again. Service continues to be so horrible. We waited over an hour for our bill. Iām literally not kidding right now it is past ten pm as Iām getting home. So we had 8 screaming babies ready to leave for almost an hour. She brings our bill we immediately explain no one got their extra rice or sides or salad or soup and so we feel as if charging us for extra sides is inappropriate the server felt the same. She takes the bill back and over thirty minutes more later brings me back my bill minus the rice but with gratuity added. Okay thatās fine. Why did it take thirty more minutes to add gratuity to our tab. Iām in the service industry. I know Iāve had a bad experience but Iāll always tip minimum anyway. She was going to get more then gratuity but after that I feel like Iām tipping bare minimum. The fact I had to wait over an hour to leave with eight kids crying is insane to me. She got the bare minimum she asked for and I wasnāt going to leave more like I originally was after that.
Another thing that bothered me was they had people standing against the wall with an iPad starring at us, it felt extremely awkward. They couldāve been helping the servers that were literally drowning in orders and could clearly not keept up. You all are supposed to work as a team. When customers are literally sitting there for hours your team should be helping. Not standing against the wall. What a waste of money for the company. Especially because I will not go back to spend hundreds on dinner when people canāt work as a team. Itās literally disgusting the lazy ness the managers had over the servers.
Iāll tell you what. If your business wants to make more money they really could with better service. My tab couldāve been over 500$ tonight but servers couldnāt even get their drinks out. Iām hoping Iām not wasting my time writing this. But if you have a lot of money to spend BIOADA Brazilian grill is better or hongs Mongolian for sure. The service is amazing. Donāt waste...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhere do I start? Most disappointing meal experience I've had in my 69 years. This was the first time I did not leave a tip. Made reservations for four at 6:30 PM. We were told when we arrived that it would be a 10-15 minute wait. It was standing room only in both the bar and the waiting area so there was no place to sit for my wife who had a full knee replacement three weeks prior. After a 30 minute wait, I told the receptionist the wait was unacceptable and we would leave soon if not seated. The only reason we didn't leave at that time was because the dinner was a treat for my wife's birthday. The receptionist assured us that the people at our table were leaving. After another 15 minutes I asked the receptionist to explain the reservation process and why it would take so long. After a several minute rambling explanation, the reasoning made absolutely no sense. Finally, after one hour we were seated. We then waited another 15 minutes before our server arrived. We ordered drinks and hor d'oeuvres and waited another 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Finally, the chef arrived about 45 minutes after we were seated. Our hor d'oeuvres arrived when the Chef started serving our food. When the chef started to cook he flipped a few cooking utensils around (dropping them) and juggled some eggs. That was the extent of his "show". After that, the chef was pouting and not friendly. He looked like he hated the experience as much as we did. The server didn't come around to pick up dishes that were piling up. She also mixed up the second drink order. Towards the end of dinner, one of the nearby vent exhausts was shut down and smoke started to fill the area. Our clothing smelled like a cookout when we got home. The food was good, but not great. It certainly wasn't worth the two hour wait. We will never return. Also, what's up with the handicap parking spaces? Rather than locate them in front of the entrance, they are located several...
