Food portion looked a little small, but was quite filling. Service was quick, fantastic, and offered food suggestions for a first visit. Atmosphere is clean, and very homebody aesthetic. They also offer a daily soup with most entrée purchases, but can be subbed for a salad or chips. The drink options were very few, but carefully chosen. I personally would like to see some Zero Sugar drink options.
Initially when I went in for a panini. I was expecting a breaded sandwich, hot, crispy, and with a buttery crisp taste. I wasn't expecting a pita sandwich/taco. Truthfully a little disappointed with the description as there were a lack of photos on the online menu. However, I wasn't displeased with what I got it was just unexpected, as I set different expectations for what I would be getting. The crust on the pita bread did make me question if they actually had a panini press as only the folded edge was the only crispy portion. I will give them the benefit of the doubt as it was shortly before closing time as well, and because I encourage others to support local.
I got the opportunity to talk a bit with the Owner, and learned they've been operating since 2015 in the Tri-cities. Originally in Kennewick, and now Richland. They struggled a bit during the pandemic, but were fortunate to survive the tribulation that it was. I also asked for recommendations as it was my first visit, and got a very warm pleasant guide of their menu. As well as their most popular items, and suggestions on a hot or cold entrée's. I was also explained the various options, that I had for sides which would accompany the entrée. This was greatly appreciated, for the first visit.
The atmosphere was very pleasant with soft mellow music in the background. Which was quiet enough for a conversation. I believe it could make a great spot for a health-concious date, or even just a lunch with friends. They decorated for the upcoming holiday which was nice to see the restaurant in the holiday spirit. It wasn't very busy on a afternoon weekday, but I also wouldn't have expected it to be as most people won't be off work yet before they close. The restaurant closes fairly early at 5pm, but as a small family owned restaurant I wouldn't expect anything else.
The meal pictured cost me $21.74, for which I would say is a bit pricey for what I got overall, but I would gladly pay that again knowing I'm supporting a...
Read moreI ate at Fresh Leaf Company yesterday. I ordered one of the bowls. It came to me warm, as I had expected. It was SO yummy!! Unfortunately, it was way too small for the $15.99 that I had paid for it. 🥲 My suggestion to the owners would be to go ahead and add some more lettuce on this item, which will help fill people up so they don’t feel hungry after eating there.
Hoping to try again, I brought my husband with me today. We ordered our food as take out, since we were traveling. He got a California panini and chips. The “chips” ended up being low-fat Cheetos. He said the panini was average, but it was fresh and warm.
I had the Supremo bowl. It sounded yummy! Grilled veges!😋 Unfortunately, what I received was a box with stone cold veges, and kale that hadn’t been massaged or steamed. Without doing something to raw kale, it is too hard to chew. The vegetables tasted good, but had been kept in a cooler, I’m guessing from this morning. Even the quinoa was cold and dry. I hadn’t really wanted a salad, but that’s what it was like. The dressing was nice.
I think if you’d like a warm lunch, order it as a sit down meal. Then just transfer it to one of the containers that they have for leftovers (ask for a for). That way at least it will be warm. .
I will keep trying their food. I love that there is a restaurant where you can eat clean in the...
Read moreThe quality of the food was great. Everything tasted fresh and the flavors went well together. However, the Vegan Panini was supposed to be on Naan bread and was served on regular bread. The panini was also supposed to have avocado on it which it did not from my photo, so that was disappointing. The couscous salad was excellent. But due to the downfalls of the panini, this meal set was not worth the price of $15.99. I could have made the panini at home with fresh ingredients and homemade hummus for less than $5.
The mango chia pudding was great, very refreshing. I wish it tasted creamier though, maybe use coconut cream in the base next time. Although this item was also expensive ($7.95), the portion was good so I felt it was worth the price.
Service was good. Food came out quickly. Be advised, they do charge $0.25 for to-go orders. Would've been nice to know that when I ordered as it was my first time in.
All in all, the food tasted good and it was clear that everything was homemade and fresh, but I likely will not get the panini again. I might come back and try a different dish that comes in a...
