First things first, when you walk into this place its such a vibe, the decorations everywhere are so aesthetic, I loved the whole interior! I ordered a Taro Milk Tea, with White Coffee Shots added.. sadly I also wanted to add tapioca pearls, but they don't make them till 11 (we came here at 10).. oh well, the drinks were still great, I loved how strong their coffee shots are, honestly they did overpower the Taro flavor itself, but I won't complain, I love White Coffee. The service was okay, not much to say, the ladies were sweet and my drink was ready in around 10 minutes. The atmosphere here is also okay, honestly it depends what time you come here, as mentioned earlier, I came here at 10, and there was a slightly big family and they were having a good time, talking to eachother and laughing, which is great, I'm so glad for them, although this is a place to read, write, find inspiration and maybe even do homework or study... so the loudness kinda killed the vibe, but they soon left and it was silent there, around 4-7 people were there also, some would come get a drink and go, others would get a drink and call a friend, and some were quiet, typing on their laptop and kept to themselves. I do like it here and the drinks are good also, I will probably want to come back to get a drink with boba in it😅.. but overall good place, recommend!

Came here to get some studying done, and ordered an iced chai latte with oat milk. Was a bit surprised at the $7.75 cost, but was hoping I would enjoy it and it would be worth it. While waiting for my order I remembered I normally ask for less ice, so I let the barista know. She told me to mention it next time because they usually charge extra for that (I found that a bit ridiculous with the drink already costing so much). I received my drink, and it was pretty terrible - the chai syrup they use is overpowering and sickly sweet. I only took a few sips and couldn’t drink the rest. Remembering the satisfaction guarantee sign I had seen on the counter, I asked the barista (lady with dreadlocks mentioned in other reviews) to remake my drink with less syrup, and she gave me so much attitude for having to remake it. She shoved the drink back at me without even mixing it after adding the milk (as pictured). And yes, it tasted exactly as it looks. Essentially, I paid nearly $8 to just drink oat milk 🙃 Never again! I don’t ever leave negative reviews and wouldn’t have if it was just for the bad drink, but this was one of the worst customer experiences I’ve had recently. I’ll take my business elsewhere!

The environment that this place provides is aesthetically pleasing. Great hang out spot and great taste of music. Staff is always very courteous and friendly, However, the drinks could use some major help. This is my 3rd time coming here and ordering different things to try them out and give them another chance. Drinks lack flavor at time and or have too much flavor. The order never really is precisely as what you really ordered. I have watched people come back a few minutes later after they get their drinks for a remake and or to add more flavor to make it taste like a coffee or tea, and even then, the flavor is just not quite right. Again, this is just based on my observations and have sat and watched a few people go back in a second time to get their drink modified again. But besides their drinks, the aesthetic place is great to study or chill with your friends.

Cute little cafe!! Love the bookish names for coffee and the aesthetic. Lots of sugar free flavors that taste great and the avocado toast was so so good! Really like the new location feels more warm and cozy. Only thing I would like to see is more food options. Such as pastries. The avocado toast is delicious but expensive (worth it). Just not something I am wanting every time with my coffee. Meet here monthly with my book club. Trying something new every time. The whiteout so far is my favorite coffee drink. It might be my new all time favorite coffee. It is very sweet but that’s how I like my coffee. The author is perfect on a day when I’m not wanting something super sweet, it is more mild but still delicious. Headliner is also very good. Like a dirty chai without the chai more cinnamon if that makes sense. Yum.

The "Blank Page" coffee with french vanilla and brown sugar cinnamon is really good, and I love that there's a large, 16 oz mug available for drinking in-store that isn't one of those super wide mouth mega "tea cups" which I find uncomfortable to drink out of. ☕ Very cozy but not sleepy, tons to look at with the great decor. Quite busy even on a drizzly Friday afternoon, showing how popular it is. Tables for working at/eating, Lounge chairs and sofas. Very nice. Staff varies, but there are some very warm, kind workers who add to the lovely atmosphere. Their new location on GW Way is great, it added guest capacity and more space for the workers to do their job without bumping elbows. I really enjoy working from a table here. The yogurt and fruit bowls are wonderful, and the coffees are excellent.

Having gone to school in Seattle, I have high expectations for bubble tea and have never been satisfied with the options in the Tri-Cities. Last week, however, I met my match. Novel will now be my go-to bubble tea place in TC. I LOVE the customizable options on the menu, which is something that most places before lacked. The tea flavors are also excellent, and the ambiance in the shop itself is wicked cool. You can have a serious study session AND an Instagram photo shoot, all while sipping on a delicious cup of bubble tea. The only shortfall was that a large clump of my tapioca pearls were cemented together and would not come through my straw, but I’m not sure if there’s a way to fix that or if I just got unlucky. Overall, Novel was such a treat, and I cannot wait to go back!
